She could add another full twist and do a quad. She doesn't start twisting right away - she has such beautiful hang time up into it. The fact that she hangs, twists, and STILL has time to spot the landing is what makes it so beautiful.
I was there too and that triple full was incredible! The only thing that could have made the night better for me since I don't live in Gainesville is that I wanted to see a Kennedy a Baker on floor as well :(
Her triple twist is good, she has a room for a half turn, Why she's not an Elite gymnast? She has the potential, she has the power and skill. Anyway a good routine :)
Mats help to cushion the landing. They for some reason allow steps back. I don't agree it should be allowed. Makes it too easy to "stick." It's not even really a stick. It might be because NCAA judging is less rigid than elite since its more so about the choreography in the routine than the difficulty of the routine.
Elena Joseph I’m late, but they allow they to be a stick because it shows control, and some skills just “look better” with a step. If they’re front foot lands, however, it does not count as a stick.
It's allowed in the NCAA. It helps to cushion the landing since most of the athletes compete every weekend for 16 weeks, so it helps with the longevity of the athlete year over year to help them through the whole season. Also, NCAA judging is less rigid than elite since its more so about the choreography in the routine than the difficulty of the routine.
Robert Johnson she went to my gym, she was invited to Olympic trials but declined because she wanted more of a normal life but she is so nice and I love her
I’m sorry I don’t have a link but off the top of my head here are some of the other collegiate gymnasts who have completed the “Gym Slam:” -Courtney Kupets - Bridget Sloan -Maggie Nichols - Karin Lichey (got a perfect 40 in a meet) - Missy Marlowe
They were sticks. NCAA allows them to step back into a controlled "lunge" without deductions. Now if there is an extra step or the lunge is way too big, then they mark them for that.
Not amazing coreography , but huge high in exercises , i wonder the way to control the time she falls, is perfect, great job but need latin coreagraphic profesor , could be some dance lessons
I can't even tell what you are trying to say. also, she has plenty of help along the way of making and choreographing her routines. And her routine is very well done and has plenty of skills and dances that she nails every time
Ya in this type of gymnastics gymnastics are allowed to take one step bach minimum. Plus this isnt like SR. Elite level its just college gymnastics thats why judges are so easy on her
Tumble4Life in NCAA gymnasts are allowed to "lunge" out of a pass, not take a big ass step. also to prove my point even more, FLA judges go easy on the gymnasts, not all judges; ex. Hallie Mossett's floor routine was literal perfection yet the UCLA judges still didn't give her a 10.
well in the ncaa you can take a lunge back so yea its a 10 also it wasn't that long ago that elites were also allowed to take a step back and this is the ncaa not elite so yea they can.
@@elenajoseph6630 There would like never be a 10 on floor, plus it’s not like elite deducted step outs forever I think since about 2011-2012 is when it started that you had to stick it perfectly for no deduction
Her triple full is better than most if not all elite girls
So is her DTY. She could qualify elite easily.
That triple full!!!!!!😭😭😭😭 it is gorgeous.......!!!!💕
She went to my gym and I have met her so many times she also used to coach me ( look up Richmond Olympiad Alex McMurtry)
Her choreography is so unique and you can tell she is having a wonderful time out there!! Amazing job!!
Nobody was even worried about the ending after the double back 😂😂😂but AMAZING
i love seeing their male coach fist pump on the sidelines!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE. MCMURTRY is freaking unbelievable.

Yeah me too, I don't know why she hasn't been competing in the All Around the past few weeks. She's only been on bars.
The height on her first and last passes is honestly insane, she is so powerful
1:19 that man lol :D
This is the highest triple twist I've ever seen!
I love how everyone’s actually happy in NCAA gymnastics! Nothing like olympics gymnastics where everyone’s all serious and depressed looking
ugh i get goosebumps every time
Now I want to start gymnastics in Florida
she could even make that a 3.5 twist with that kind of height damn! yas gurl werq
One of my all time collegiate gymnast 😍
I love how she got up for the triple full at the beginning
Her triple twist is good, she has a room for a half turn, Why she's not an Elite gymnast? She has the potential, she has the power and skill. Anyway a good routine :)
i think she was an elite gymnast, im not sure. a lot of elites go to college gymnastics.
She was an elite I believe she actually won a Nastia Lukin Cup in 2014
She was a level 10 and competed at the nastia luiken cup and performed an elite level routine there, but she never qualified or competed as an elite.
How in the world does she do that! She is amazing!!
Jessica Myers there's something called practice ya know
Wow, that triple full!
she is a perfect gymnast
Maya Aboud no she isn't
Idk why but I love Alex
She is a perfect 10
she was a coach at my gymnastics camp and i met her
She went to my gym and was my coach
First skill
Me: How ?!
Do they get an excessive celebration penalty like in football?
She gets so much height in her tumbling. I wonder why they're allowed to have mats and take a step after though. Always thought that was odd.
Mats help to cushion the landing. They for some reason allow steps back. I don't agree it should be allowed. Makes it too easy to "stick." It's not even really a stick. Car Naps NCAA is different so ur allowed to have mats to cushion the landing and they dont deduct for that

GO GATORS ! ! !
Go Alex ! ! !
What’s the song???
Alex plz get a 10 in beam also
The coach at 1:20 is 👌
Wow😍
Why is having a mat there not a deduction?

That feeling when you see yourself in the crowd
😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏
She went to my gym hahah and I’ve met her
What's the music?
mutant brain
stick it gain
my question is why in the hell is she not in elite?! wow
She wanted to go to public high school and have a "normal" life as a gymnast
Robert Johnson she went to my gym, she was invited to Olympic trials but declined because she wanted more of a normal life but she is so nice and I love her
0:54 In these leaps, she landed with feet apart TWICE. This should have been a 9.95 or 9.925.
Gymnast vbbf1021 oh well judges didn't see anything so it doesn't matter :)
I love her so much but I have to agree that her leaps weren't the best
NCAA rules are different than the typical rules so it must've not counted
I just noticed she has gotten a perfect 10 on every event . Have any other NCAA gymnasts done that ?
FlippinLuke Gymnastics Only 10 other gymnasts have ever completed the “Gym Slam” in collegiate history.
Nina M Oh whoops . Do you have a link for me to find out which others have
I’m sorry I don’t have a link but off the top of my head here are some of the other collegiate gymnasts who have completed the “Gym Slam:”
-Courtney Kupets
- Bridget Sloan
-Maggie Nichols

thx so much !
I’ve met her before unfortunately I didn’t know who she was so I didn’t talk to her.
Didn’t she get a perfect 10 on bars too?
No, that was against Georgia that year, she fell on bars in this competition
How did she get a 10 when she didn’t stick her tumbling passes?
They were sticks. NCAA allows them to step back into a controlled "lunge" without deductions. Now if there is an extra step or the lunge is way too big, then they mark them for that.
fordgtluver Oh! Thank you! 💞

it's ridiculous that this scored a perfect 10. Her legs are CLEARLY crossed on the triple full and her feet were incredibly flexed on the double back.
no offense, but i feel like FLA judges just kind of pass out 10's like it's nothing. you can clearly see a large step out of her second tumbling pass
Ya in this type of gymnastics gymnastics are allowed to take one step bach minimum. Plus this isnt like SR. Elite level its just college gymnastics thats why judges are so easy on her

OK step lunge same damn thing im a gymast ik about all of this you dont need to explain to me ssssoooooooooooooooooooooooooo ya
Tumble4Life you're ignoring my point, because you know i'm right.
Im not ignoring your point I am just explaining why you are a little wrong its not like im telling you to kill someone geez chill
It's not a 10 she stepped out and had to use a mat for her teister
Lily Quill Youre allowed to step out somehow, and mats are to cushion the landing, you dont get deductions for that.
Roro MSP I'm a gymnast u would bo
Ncaa rules are different
Lily Quill NCAA is different they don't deduct for those things.
your better then simone biles!!!!!!
H Sisters no she isnt wth ur sooooo wrong just stop
@@adrianafioravante4579 gosh its her opinion and she has definitely scored higher than Simone
Um. step on every landing. nice "10" alex. ...............................wow

Kenna Breda yes it is
