❗️Hurricane Awareness Mode: June 1 - November 30, 2024
Welcome to Weather Watcher! I’m 17 years old, and as my channel name implies, I love weather! Throughout my life, I’ve had many interests and hobbies, but none of them have stuck with me quite as long as meteorology.
It all started in 2021 when I created my CZcams channel. At first, I didn’t really have a plan for what I would post; but it wasn’t long before I began creating forecasts. My weather forecasts and then eventual incorporation of livestreams helped my following grow steadily between late 2021 into 2023.
In early 2023, I finally started using my real voice to narrate my forecasts, which was a challenge for me personally… but it proved to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my channel. By October 2023, my channel underwent another major change… tracking European weather!
Thanks for reading this quick synopsis, and I appreciate your ongoing support!

Local forecast: yeah, maybe some rain. Watch out. We'll let you know.
WW forecast: THIS is why you might have rain and THAT is why this weather might impact these regions and OH, BTW, we've designed a new graph to help you understand your weather better.
No contest at all. WW takes the cake, hands down. Thanks!
That’s what this channel is all about! 😄 Thanks for the comment!
Im glad of this brief warm spell ,here in Wales UK. It has been endlessly cold wet and cloudy thus far.
Here in my part of Scotland, the weather has been mostly unusually warm and sunny for much of the year.
Indeed, it's been puzzling to hear of friends living in other parts of the country bewailing the rain and cold. It was a little chilly here, but a couple of weeks ago, when the wind turned from the North. That lasted only a couple of days and wasn't too uncomfortable.
Now it is so warm and humid I can hardly move.
(I'm supposed to be digging a new pond. I couldn't carry the spade, let alone use it. I'm hoping for rain tonight, preferably with thunder, to break this oppressive spell of humidity).
It's all topsy-turvy isn't it. Here in East Devon we're usually one of the warmest places in the UK but this year we've had particularly cold weather, even when sunny. The hot summer just arrived yesterday and now about to leave again in a day or two, lol.
Wales weather is being modified daily.
NW England is beautiful atm, clear skies for a change.
@@user-fg5lj1tb6z That sounds lovely. I have relatives living in North Carolina and their weather has been pretty much like ours, cold and rainy.
very, very accurate on the European part. way better than the local forecast.
Thank you!
As I get older here in SW France, I escape the heat and sun as much as possible. I know that most people, incl. tourists, all seek the sun. Your forecasts are helpful to us all. ❤
I am waiting for summer to arrive here in northern Italy. It has been miserable since march. And the other night, so cold and damp that I lit the fire and sat with a very happy cat reading and watching the flames. Brrrrrrrrrr
Same here in northwest Portugal. Yesterday, 34° and full sun. Today, 20° and rain.
This is not normal at all!!! 3 days of summer, 3 of winter since the heavy abnormal rains stopped in may.
Poor plants, they don't know what season they are on!
It's been horrible all spring here in the Alto Varesotto, and it shows no signs of improving. My tomato plants have given up all hope. I'm going to Greenland to get a bit of better weather.
@@StephenSmith-ge1qf Same here. All fruits are getting rotten. Only brassicas are liking this strange weather
@@egeegee7146 I know exactly what you mean. We also live in Northern Italy and it has been so wet compared to normal. The upside is our garden looks far more lush than usual!!
@@Atimatimukti Here in the North West of England it's rained for over a year with the longest dry spell lasting for four days in May, the first dry weekend of the year was the third week of April. We are currently under dry skies that is so far almost two dry days, it might rain later we are told.
As soon as they stop spraying the skies, the weather will cheer up 👍
I really believe we now must ask for complete transparency around this issue. It’s obvious and has now been accepted as being practiced. Why was there no discussion? Why the secrecy ? And what other methods of modification are they using because governments track records are being shown to be less than healthy !
How do you fake the likes. I'm interested.
I like this sort of report.
It helps to have the overview when interpreting local forecasts.
Awesome, thanks for watching!
I'm grateful to be part of a community that cares about what is happening in the world, and not just in their own back yards. What happens anywhere in this world matters and eventually impacts us all.
💯 Amazingly written!
👍
Thanks for doing the requested look back to what actually happened on the 21st/22nd June - you were pretty accurate! So glad I’m sat here in the countryside north of Glasgow where it is overcast and very muggy today but not uncomfortably hot, just humid. We had quite a long bout of rain this morning here that was forecast to be a light shower on the BBC! Saves me from having to water the tubs on the patio this evening though.
Great to sit here too and seeing the start of the Caribbean and Atlantic Hurricane season from afar rather than anxiously watching the old weather fax maps onboard ship and having decide whether to risk speeding up to get across the path before they arrive or stopping to let them pass when coming out of the Panama Canal bound to the US East Coast - the know alls in the office in Norfolk could never understand why we couldn’t steam straight on through hurricanes with the hugely power engine we had and remain on schedule - my answer as the Captain was “ if you instruct me in writing that you will accept the responsibility for possible damage to the crew, ship and cargo them I’ll obey your orders!” The reply was always “Captain you are the man on the spot and with the experience, just keep us informed of your intentions and why!” I never got the instruction to steam on because they knew that I was doing it at their instruction and for that they were responsible for damage not me!
Of course! I think I’ll do them more often for bigger severe weather events. I appreciate your comment as well, the ocean is a big and very volatile place!
Thank you for these good and accurate forecasts and totally different viewpoint of large area weather! Simple and understandable! Greetings from Finland
You’re very welcome!!
Macedonia is BOILING!!! There wasn’t even a winter. Our AC’s have been blasting since end of may. Constantly above 35+, not okay. The severe weather got Skopje, sunday evening , majority of the streets were flooded. Amazing forecast.
Wow, that sounds harsh. Hopefully the weather cools off, even for a little. Thank you!
Thank you. Glad the UK getting cooler weather again. 🎉
Bar humbug!
@@SD-vy7gj 🙂
Thank you for time and effort on accurate forecasting. In the UK we have to rely on the lies from the Met Office
I’m glad you enjoy the forecasts 🙂
Well that's a daft thing to say. What lies? They use the same computer models as everyone else. I'd like you to substantiate that claim by giving examples, and elucidating what impossibly weird motive they would have to "lie". It's in their interest to be as reliable as possible, purely from a reputational point of view. I think you know that your comment was a baseless and vacuous stab at an institution which works very well indeed.
@@colindean8261 Not baseless. They have an agenda of pretence in regards to informing us we are always having above average temperatures when in reality the
averages are cooler. They do not even follow protocol on how these temperatures are measured any longer, and in Scotland we have had snow falling on the highest
mountains every month since December 2022, excluding June 2023, but incl. July '23, and no mention of this phenomena by Met Office in their broadcasts, preferring
the 'new' red hot colour schemes for normal UK summer temperatures. So often Met Office are enthisiastic about giving absolute maximums, i.e noon direct sunshine,
but not so keen on giving extreme winter minimums; a pattern they have set for several years. In their weather broadcasts, they deliberately use thumbnails of red
photoshop sunsets and turning wind-turbines, all by design to brain-wash viewers. I turned to this weather broadcast on YT as I can no longer trust the Met Office.
Do you believe the mets lies on warmest may on record .
@@robbiebanks9182 followed by below average temperatures in June and proceeded by below April averages.
I was surprised to hear that the warm weather would be leaving Ireland. I certainly didn't experience it's arrival in the first place.🥴 Guess I should be grateful that I'm missing the severe stuff.
Where have u been weather has been unbelievable
It was 24°C in Derry yesterday with a little cloud. Today was overcast and a chilly 16°C.
I'm starting to log in regularly to your forecasts because they are pretty reliable and the synopses are useful. I'm in Northern Italy where thankfully the big bad heat from African plumes hasn't arrived yet. I don't know if the computer models can tell us anything about that eventuality so far out at this stage. There has been a lot of Saharan dust mixed with the rain though, everyone's car here is plastered with it. Keep it up, very useful stuff.
It's not necessarily Saharan dust, Po valley is infamous for being the most polluted region of Europe. Even if the Sahara hasn't delivered its plumes, the area will remain polluted
I’m happy to keep you updated!
Brilliant graphics and forecast thanks 👏❤️✌️
Thanks, and you’re welcome!
Thank you very much for this most useful weather forecast, the beauty of the moisture is that it keeps everything lovely and green and also means that there is less likelihood of wildfires breaking out.
Absolutely! There’s always a positive side to everything. I know lots of people in Europe are sick of the rain, but just the fact that everything is extra “green” must be pretty nice. 🙂
I'm an FO on a 737 and we were going northwest from turkey to scandinavia on saturday and had the depicted squall line near bucharest right infront of us on the radar. We had to fly directly west for something like 1 hour to avoid it while most flights were just turning around. We had taken extra fuel anticipating some sort of weather but not that bad. We then had to coordinate with ATC to fly in a straight line to our destination and still ended up landing with minimum diversion fuel (which is still safe). It was quite a day
That’s crazy, glad you’re safe!
Epic!!!! Tysm for using my submission! That base was truly surreal!
Thank you! :D You’re welcome!
Funny to see precipitation below average for the Netherlands... we get on average 870mm a year, but we've had 1000mm since October 2023. We can do without rain for a while :)
That’s great that you’re getting a break, enjoy it!
The addition of m/s is very much appreciated. Thank you very much for the best forecasts for European region 🙂

It's quite funny as summer has only just arrived here in south-west Britain a day ago, after really cold weather, and now is going to leave again in another day or two, lol. I find your forecasts really useful though, and if I'd watched this half an hour ago I could've saved myself some money by not ordering a couple of new summer clothes online!!! :)
It’s been a strange year indeed! Even here in Portugal, which should be well into its dry season, is getting another cut-off low. Not too common to see rainfall in this part of Europe in late June, but here we are!

Hi, I am flying from Scotland to Croatia tomorrow for one week. I have a big interest in thunderstorms. I am hoping to see a nighttime storm or two moving in from the Adriatic while staying in Dubrovnik. Your forecast looks promising for that. Good video and keep up the good work.

Watching for Wimbledon ( London) weather for the start of July..but here in central France, it’s hot weather at the moment, cooler from Fri..and lots of that looping. Thanks WW!

You’re welcome!
About those severe thunderstorms you talked about in the beginning, I want to tell you something. On Sunday I was in Pristina, Kosovo just for a visit. Around five a clock crazy thunder, strong wind gusts and rain started. We were preparing to leave anyways. A 30 min driving away from Pristina towards Albania and we got out from the storm zone. And later I saw on the news that flooding had occurred there. Fortunately we left in time😅
Glad you narrowly escaped that!
I live in denmark and most of us welcome the cooler weather. (18-20 degrees)
(18-20 degrees) cooler!!! Here in the UK, the Met office would be issuing 'danger of death' to such highly unusual temperatures 😆

Great to have you watching, European weather is undoubtedly a strange but fascinating thing to watch!
@WeatherWatcher14 From freak winter Norwegian storms to summer severe storms.
Oklahoma!! 😮
The fruit isnt developed properly in the uk.
The plants are leggy but the fruits retarted by the exceptionally long winter
Thank you again for pro prognoses. Here's a tiny idea: When you mark a pressure system with your red pen, could you draw it in the direction of the wind? It feels counter-intuitive to see a low pressure highlighted in a clockwise direction. 😊
Noted!
super accurate forecasts

After a few hot days here in The Netherlands I’m ready for some cold weather again 😅
Sure do hope you are right about some rain in the Iberian peninsula.
All motorways now carry warnings about the extreme fire risk in our province of Andalusia.
The penalties for being the cause of a fire, even by accident, are very severe indeed.
We have never seen rain in July here before, however these are strange times we are living in and not only the weather, but at least you have given us some hope.
Hoping you get some rain, even though the chance is low. 🙂
You can have all the rain from the north, we gladly give you all of it

I live in the middle of France. I'm not really worried about this weeks storms, but I think I'll start keeping a couple of winter duvets in my car until the end of summer. I want to protect my car with them, if I am able to. Three years we had a local, but severe hail storm that damaged thousands of homes and totaled even more cars. Mine included.... Stay safe out there people. Especially those in Central Europe!

Amazing forecast as allways. It is strange tha for the last 3 days, including today only severe weather is dodging the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina but rain also. I don't understand why this is happening because nearly everywhere around it is at least raining. This is happening even if we are in the area if rainy and also 2-3 level or severe weather since Sunday.
Thank you! Yes these storms tend to be very hit or miss, so we just have to wait until one sets up just right for the capital of Bosnia.
@@WeatherWatcher14 Thank you, i mean there have been olaces with very severe weather, but the issue is that we can start distrusdting the warnings. But it is not the fault of the meteorologists.

Oof
i severe weather patters is most likely due to the recent sun solar flares or the fact the poles are shifting and the north pole being somewhere aeound serbia
In Ireland, we get enough wet, grey days. Any signal of even nice weather in the long-range view for july?🤞
Unfortunately not for the first bit… but if July follows the same pattern of June, the second half of the month may be a bit better. Only time will tell!
I live the sun. This week OK in Sweden but i prefere my life in Barcelona !?
Tennis ball-like hail stones less than one hour after the temperatures reached 38-41 Celsius were really life threatening condition in Croatia and Bosnia.
I am actually planning my motorcycle holiday driving Sweden to the Swiss alps from your videos. I am not sure when to go yet, next week maybe looks too wet?
Frankly it’s looking active quite consistently into July. The only day that looks somewhat calm between Switzerland and Sweden is Saturday of this week, before another storm quickly arrives 😕

Interesting fact. The NASA finding that the mesosphere, second most outer layer of the atmosphere, under the exosphere, is contracting, could mean that the natural vonvection vurrents sre bring suppressed, so heating and cooling air currents are failing and its causing this phenomenon.
