The Nazi Capital of the World... That Never Was

  • It’s 1970 in an alternate universe, Nazi Germany and the Axis powers have come out of world war 2 victorious. What are things like?
    After the war Nazi Germany set it sights on creating its fascist global capital to last the ages - the city of Germania. Germania (the Nazi capital that never was) is the manifestation of Nazi ideology and power. Inspired by the great architectural achievements of Ancient Greece and Rome, Hitler turned to the chief architect Albert Speer to design and realise his capital city.
    Nazi Germania is meant to embody the very heart and soul of the German people and dripping with power, strength, unity it’s huge megalithic domes - so gigantic, it has its own indoor weather system, a Triumphal Arch that makes Paris’ Arc Du Triomph look tiny, a massive modern airport as Germania’s gateway to the world and not forgetting the glorified tomb of Hitler himself. But altleast you can enjoy a national holiday on April 20th every year to celebrate Hitler’s birthday - the city is truly a nightmere fascist utopia!
    But once you’ve explored Nazi Germania, head on the latest and most modern airship to adventure over to The Empire of Japan, the other victors in the 2nd world war. Do they follow the German model or do things slightly differently?
    All information and research gathered for this video is authentic and could have had a good chance of actually happening had the Nazi’s won the war.
    What do you think might have happened?

    The only reason Japan would win the Pacific war is if it never happened, they did not attack Pearl Harbor (or the attack would have succeeded in sinking the aircraft carriers as well).
    US stayed out of the war in Europe for a few more years, and stopped sending supplies to UK. (anyone seeing current parallells, yes, they are intentional)
    US never sent supplies to USSR at all, no lend-lease for the communists.
    Germany held off on attacking USSR until UK had fallen.
    The Russia/German continuation war would probably happened in 1947 when Germany opened up with a nuclear attack on several major Soviet cities.

    • @57thorns
      @57thorns Před 4 měsíci +1

      Also, Nazi Germany and the Nationalistic Japanese Empire are both xenophobic dictatorships in this world. They would be as good friends as Russia and China today, but without a common enemy, so not at all. Unless Japan or US got the nukes (US would, eventually) Germany would obliterate Japan with nukes the same way they did with USSR.
      This is my take on this history, taking into consideration that US is still the industrial world leader in the 1940s onwards. Perhaps only rivalled by the 3rd Reich or Japan well into the late 1960s.

    • @cartoontraveller
      @cartoontraveller  Před 4 měsíci

      Love it - That’s a really interesting take on it! …you’re probably right about Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan going to war with each other in the absence of a common enemy - either way it’s still a very scary prospect whatever happens. I also wonder about possible American isolationism/embargo upon it by the Axis powers and how America would develop. Would it even be occupied maybe.
      Also I think you are definitely right about Japan not being able to with the war in reality. Pearl Harbour seems like a preemptive strike…obviously that backfired 🇯🇵😅

    • @WhoAmIHmmm
      @WhoAmIHmmm Před měsícem

      Well, we need to keep in mind that Japan was bogged down in China, unable to attack the soviets and suffering both economic sanctions and a oil embargo by the USA, they eventually found Pearl Harbor as an opportunity for weakening US naval power on the seas, they also expected that by attacking Pearl Harbor, it'd give time to consolidate their gains further in the pacific as well as expecting the US to not declare war and negotiate peace, it was a gamble, which didn't paid in the long term, but would it have payed in the long term to never attack pearl harbor and withdraw their imperial ambitions? Or by risking war as well by invading British Malaya or the Dutch East Indies?

    I'll pick out a few of the many mistakes in the video:
    0:27 This map is absolute bullshit. If you are already basing this map on the “Lebensraum” chapter from Mein Kampf, you should also mention the context. There were no plans to conquer territories west of Germany - Britain and France declared war on Germany, not the other way around, which is why they invaded there. As far as the east was concerned, and I'll ask you personally: do you really think this map in the east is geostrategically successful? It's utter nonsense to divide up an area that demands such huge borders. Hitler clearly described in his book which parts he wanted to incorporate into the Reich: Namely the areas where German minorities lived. For example Poland, Czechslovakia, Austria. And in the Soviet Union there was no German minority, it was an ideological war in the East, not a territorial one.
    0:45 National socialism is not the same as fascism - TIKhistory has made a very good 5 hour documentary on
    this, which explains it very well
    1:25 No mistake, but I personally find it very interesting that Georges-Eugène Haussmann did exactly that
    in Paris between 1853 to 1870, that's why Paris is as beautiful as it is today
    1:42 “After construction it was discovered...” is poor wording. A “Schwerbelastungskörper” was built to test the ground. And yes, it sank. But it sank so minimally that the architects said it was okay to build. After all, the weight would have been better distributed under the Triumphal Arch in real life than with the
    Schwerbelastungskörper
    2:29 That you don't consider “Nazis” human by your wording is the same mindset that the Nazis applied to Jews.
    So congratulations, you've learned a lot from history.
    2:39 The fact that you mention Tempelhof Airport, which actually exists, in a video entitled “...That Never Was” seems a little out of place to me
    2:51 The Reich Chancellery was more built on a temporary basis. Hitler and his successors would have ruled from
    a Führer building to the left of the Volkshalle
    4:21 An absolutely strange outcome. After all, Germany had built the world's first rockets during the Second World War and the moon landing of the “Americans” was mainly made possible by former Germans. Why would Japan suddenly come to the moon?
    4:51 Why do you keep saying “Nazi-Germania” (-City) all the time? I mean, New York isn't called “Capitalist-New York” or “Capi-New York” either.
    So if you don't know anything about history, then please stay out of the alternative history sector.
