- Normally on the mission The Arbiter, your elite allies tell each other to engage their active camouflage and not to reveal themselves until you, the Arbiter, starts attacking the enemies. But what happens if you never attack any enemies?

I always put away the energy sword when in camo, I thought they would see a floating energy sword and my cover would be blown.

StillGotShit4Brains To be honest that's actually common sense, they just decided to ignore it for ganeply's sake :p
But then if you switch weapon they'll see a floating gun.
Your gun gets camouflaged too. The energy sword "blade" is made of plasma, AKA really really hot matter that isn't solid, liquid, or gaseous. Plasma gives off a lot of light, and Active Camouflage uses light-bending technology. Basically, the camo does not extend a light source such as plasma (Pay attention to the lights at the front of your allies' guns).
The AI isn't dumb, Bungie just did not expect you to get that far without engaging.
I've discovered in-game:
Whichever elite you are farthest from will say the phrase at 0:56
..And in the elevator, around 6:35, whichever is CLOSEST will say the "Sentinels, the holy warriors of the sacred rings! Why have they sided with these heretics!?"
..Not sure how it works for grunts yet.
..As for later on, i think there's more of those little script-tidbits ahead too, i see it with the elite that says "Heretic fools! What have they done!?"

Wow I had no idea those two heretic Elites had dialogue. That's dope. I wonder what else you could find using this. Or if the IWHBYD skull would change it.

I remember hearing it once, though that was by hiding in the doorway rather than venturing in. You'd think they would've noticed the door opening entirely on its own accord.
I always look at the transcripts of each level of every game. You can find them by typing the level you want in Halopedia. Unfortunately, some dialogue can be missed and therefore not be in the transcript you see on Halopedia.

Speaking of the Arbiter, how the Covenant recover each dead Arbiter in order to pass on his armour to the next total shit-pump elite to serve his sentence.
What would happen if the body was literally unrecoverable? Like say because the last guy fell into a pit of lava in the middle of a flood infested planet?
Would they just manufacture a new suit of armour and stick a random dead elite in the Mausoleum of the Arbiter?
Miss Lethal they dont litterally do it they just say they do. Ripa Moramee was the arbiter before Thel. and he was on the shield world the spirit of fire destroyed in halo wars.
I completely forgot about that, and physically he was considerably larger than Thel which would mean the armour would never fit... Guess that confirms that the covenant had been manufacturing new extremely outdated armour suits and sticking random dead elites in the caskets on the walls of the mausoleum.
Come to think of it, that place must smell horrifyingly bad with all those bodies. I remember trying to count them once and there are over 250-someodd.
Miss Lethal i mean it is a ceremonial thing that the armor stays out dated. and i bet a lot of those caskets are empty.

I actually got so good at the Arbiter missions stealth mechanics that I could get across entire chunks of a mission without being seen.
I wonder what Covenant grunts feel or think when they kill the Heretic grunts

You know what puzzles me? None of them are even on alert about a door opening on its own.
I noticed if you kill all your allies in the start room, less enemies spawn.
But fewer checkpoints too

Halo 3, what happens if you save that one marine in the beginning of floodgate that gets pounced on by multiple infection forms?
Throw a frag grenade at him, there's a chance depending on the difficulty that the infection forms will all get popped by it but the marine survives. He just acts like any other marine.

Indeed. It was sort of an accidental discovery, I didn't feel like chasing and clobbering a bunch of infection forms once they spread away from the marine. :|

In halo 3 and halo wars active camo is shown to cover the sword. Although in Halo 1 this wasn't true and the swords were visible.

its probably the way the engine handles invis. It isnt based off of "vision" there is probably a part of the code that toggles as invis or not. When its toggled on (which im guessing the mod does" then nothing can see you no matter what you "look" like

It isn't even about whether you engage battle with the enemy; it's actually, ironically enough, about whether the enemy joins battle with you. You can covertly take out the elites and grunts int he beginning and your allies will stay hidden. It's only when the enemies know you're there that they come out of hiding and this is true in every section.
On a side note if you properly speed run it the grunts on the long ramp down don't spawn in at all yet I believe.

Yes, and 343 made them even uglier in halo 4, with almost all the design in charactere (spartans armor, elites, grunts, Jackals, shit the armors of halo 5 are ugly as fuck and make the spartans don't look like humans anymore Xb)
I love he still plays with the original graphics IMO the OG graphics look better in most parts without the werid reflections or the pristine environments unlike the more ancient looking environments of the fisrt halo 2 and also the character design was better but that is only my opinion
