I just brought my daughter skiing for the first time yesterday. It was one of the best days of my life. Watching your family’s videos with her was a major inspiration to both of us. Thank you ❤!
AAbsolutely love Adia's abilities to learn how to master skills by experimenting with how much she can leancinto her turns or how she can lean forward. She seems taller, so even trying to ski with a new ski spirt can be a bit challenging. Absolutely love your kids. Wish I had a dad like you. You are so patient.
So glad you all are back on the slopes! Fun fun fun! Oh Adia’s giggles, always good for a smile, or laugh here! I know that the first few days everyone is just trying to get back their “snow feet” again, but after that, it is going to be so fun to see the progress your kids make this season! Welcome back to the snow journals!
YYAAAAAYYYYY ❣️❣️❣️ It's time to ski up a storm. I just love the conversation: "Don't think you should go there... Hidden rocks, tricky!" And true to form, NO little person listens!!! 😂😂😂
2nd day and they're doing awesome 🎉 so glad to see the family back on the slopes!!! Venao missed you guys this year...85 degrees here!!! 😂😂😂 Adia is going to catch up to the boys quick!! "Suckers!!!" 😅
Hay have you guys heard about insta 360s Ace Pro? It's an 8K resolution camera and it definitely can add extra quality to your content. Also when you want to crop some stuff to zoom in it maintains the quality quite well.
That's the camera I'm using most often for this years videos so far. I shoot in 4k/60 though because I want to be able to slow motion some moments. For anyone reading here is a link to the camera: www.insta360.com/sal/ace-pro?insrc=INRXKT3
Gotcha I was referring to the one that came out a month ago. Because you could upload 4K or 8k. I didn't factor in the slow motion though. Because your latest upload is 1080P and I've been seeing snowboards and skiers upload 8K action videos and they look crisp and sick.
Wow, amazing skills. Can't wait to see when you teach them kayaking. Btw did you connect the mic directly to insta360? Or you did it in post? Which mic?
You can. You need a little mic adaptor, a special little cold shoe mount and any wireless blue tooth mic. The Rode wireless go is a good option. I am using the Pro model from them now.
Which Faction skis is August riding on? Funny story, but my son who just turned 8 watched all of August's videos last year and looked up to him. He wanted Head skis because of August, but I got him Faction Prodigy skis as a gift as I couldn't find a competitive Head ski in appropriate length (125-130cm). So, I feel like this was a Dad win as I can show him that now he has the same skis (brand) as August. Love your videos. We're not as fortunate to live near the snow, but I am able to get my little one out for 30-40 days on the slopes per year! I've got some videos on my channel if interested, but my kiddo really looks up to August, it's great for him to look up to someone that's 1-2 years older!
Brian, that’s awesome. Thanks for the share. He’s on the Faction Prodigy youth 2. 👌 I’ll share this comment with August! And show August your son skiing on your channel. 30-40 days is nothing to scoff at and is exactly how I grew up in Ontario. What’s your closest ski hill? Thanks again for reaching out.
@@ThatMountainLife Thanks for the response! We basically have to go to New Mexico or Colorado. The closest resort is 1,000km drive. For world class skiing in Colorado, 1,500 km. Generally, we fly and rent cars, but we are driving to Colorado and spending three weeks in Colorado soon (Breck, Vail and Telluride)! I got the Prodigy 1 JR in 125 cm for him. Your Prodigy youths are bit too long for him right now as he's only 129cm tall. It seems most higher performance youth skis are 135cm and up, so he's got a year to go. The 125cm Prod 1 was sort of the best performing ski I could find in the
@@ThatMountainLife Thank you so much! I’m heading to a bigger hill this weekend and i will definitely use your tips! I have actually learned a lot from your videos already since my level in the park is just under Luca’s. I look up to you guys so much and i got so excited when i saw that you had replied. So thank you so much for making these amazing videos replying to my comment.
The kids don't seem to have forgotten their skills. Promises to be a great season of growth for them.

Early season snow snakes are the worst!
i self taught myself how to do 180s but holy cow i’m scared to send a 360 on the rock hard midwest ice “snow”
Practice on the ground with your feet! Good stance, wind up and look with your head! The head is really important.
