Can the Cricket easily be strapped into a public bus or transport van?

Can the sound be disabled on the golden? Only the reverse can be turned off on the jazzy and the jazzy beep is louder then any other wc which will wake your whole house when turned on. Annoying but worth a couple hundred bucks if it can be turned off.
