I must be missing something with the Walz military service kerfuffle! The man voluntary stayed in service for 24 years and decided to retire (4 years after he was eligible) in order to run for office, but that’s not good enough because he COULD have stayed in another year and been deployed? (And he had to file his paperwork seven months earlier - they make it sound like he was sent to Iraq and then said No, I quit, which is not at all the timeline). Their second gripe is, after yet another school shooting, he changed his mind said AR-type weapons, like the ones he carried IN war, should not be readily available. He has apologized for “misspeaking” and said his point was military weapons should only be for soldiers. He has also said he commends Vance for his military service because all service should be applauded, whether you see combat or not (btw, JD did not - he wrote press briefs from an air-conditioned office in Iraq). And THAT is what makes them ballistic? Not fake bone spurs? Sigh.
