I like that, it caused me to think of some words of wisdom the Apostle Paul wrote in 1Corinthians chapter 13 verses 4-8. In these verses of the bible, the word LOVE is broken down into other simple words of choice's a person makes toward another person. It has nothing to do with how one may feel toward another person or how one may not feel toward another person or group of people or a nation of people, etc... Hence this is the hope I believe Gonen Ben Itzhak is speaking of and how he and Mosab are with each other. And the great thing of these words of choice and action, in time they will lead to the emotional feelings of brotherly love. Friendship love. Here are these words of choice and action that take are not about how one may feel towards another or not. Its a mindset not a emotional reflex of the heart. Even the worst of enemies can show this kind of love toward each other if they chose so, even if the heart said no! 1Corinthian 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails! Hence I see these word from Paul, in whom I believe were inspired by God via His Holy Spirit for all of mankind to live by.
They now see each other as brothers from another mother. If these two can become so close despite their backgrounds and opposing beliefs then there's still hope peace can be found in the region, but there needs to be compromises made from both sides, until then it's going to be more of the same with innocent lives being lost because extremists on both sides aren't willing to give an inch to the other.
