Hey thank you for the video. I thought I write because of the really damaged brush. Best way to heal natural hair brushes is dip the hairs in gum arabic shape it with your fingers and let the gum arabic dry. Let it stay that way for a few weeks then wash out the gum arabic and you have a brush looking like new. With nylon hair you can use hot water (please don't burn yourself) dip the bristles in hot hot water and form the brush with your fingers. I have rescued a lot of my brushes with both techniques. Some really were completely destroyed from moving. And if you do that gum arabic thing with your real hair brushes 1-2 times a year and clean it with brush soap once in a while then you can use that brush for many many years. 😊🤗 Wish you a wonderful week 💜
hi arsinoe! thank you for commenting and explaining your brush reviving process so thoroughly. i appreciate that! :D
I'm making some mixed pan size palettes. Full pans for the colors I use the most. 1/2 pans for the "I love this color" paints. If I could buy only one non vegan paint-it would be the RS "P" grey. It's magical-great choice.
hiii beth~! OHH! that's a great idea with the full pan and half pan distinction~ i've been wanting to switch to only using full pans but i dont want to decant more paint just yet. i'll keep your idea in mind though, that's a splendid idea!
I realized through your video that I have a PBr24 from Sennelier (I think) and I can make my own ocean blue mixes. Such a pretty color! Your gift gave me a gift today too - thanks! Looking forward to trying it out now that I know.
yayyyyy! so many gifting all around!
yes, Naples Yellow Deep from Sennelier was my first PBr24 and piqued my interest. so rich. just ordered a tube of PBr24 from MaimeriBlu to see what its like! Love the comparison video from Paint in Hiding!
@@derwood206 NIIICE! sounds like you'll have two very diff versions of PBr24 to play with, woohoo! XD
love your new watercolors! yay more paint for your Roman Szmal palette!
😆
I love all the colors you chose. ♥️
thank you Miranda! always nice to know you approve ;D
What a lovely haul! I have that tube grip thingie too, use it with my acrylic and gouache tubes alike. It's saved hand crampage pain so much. I have so many paints and pigments right now, I'm on a no-buy year for 2023 to use up what I've got. But I've been watching Roman Szmal grow as a company and it's been fascinating to see over time. Hope you have fun with your new colors!
thanks tsukabu! oh yeeeahh the tube gripper thing is such a life saver! vangogh and rembrandt tube caps always injure me 😂
Your palette before the new additions looks a lot like my RS palette. I only got unique (to me) colors so far. Very pleased except my PR206 had a huge defect in the middle.
hi Avis! yesss yeah! i'm sure we're not the only ones who bought unique to us RS colours. they definitely saw a gap in the market and we consumed it right up lol. awww nooo, i'm sorry about your PR206, hopefully u were able to get it exchanged?
If you have brush cleaner you can clean the brush with it and then let it dry without washing it out on the brush for a while so that it helps train the brush hairs to sit properly. I've had some Trekell brushes arrive frayed and just rinsing it out of the factory glue it comes with then washing it with the soap and let it stiffen the bristles for a while has helped. It saved me the trouble of having to do a return.
thanks Not Shiny! i just washed it with water and it's fine now.
Thanks for the Bamboo Brush introduction..I am going to get it. Its a really good idea to use!
you're welcome! hope you like it too :D
I did the same thing with my first RS order, purchased unique colors I didn't have. But I loved the paint so much, I really wished I had went all in. But I know now and I will order some primary colors next time.
thankfully RS has sales on jackson's often so woohoo! ;D
Thank you for including the swatching footage! Very curious to hear your thoughts on the RS brush and to see a review of the bamboo pen/brush!
hi Jill :D might be a while before i do a review on that but so far i'm liking it! it's soft and holds of water like squirrel brushes :)
I found a dupe for misty morning within my white nights palette which is cobalt blue and they're quin rose. It's beautiful
nice find Lisa! :D
You’re fortunate and you also deserve the treat. Nice haul. 😊
thank you Allan~! hope you're well!
I haven't met a bamboo pen, which does have a good, or even passable brush. They are fun used as dip-pens though 😊
hi dryad :D yeah, this one was definitely a tad too soft for me but i still need to test it out, havent had much time lately
I am very reluctant to order from Jackson's imagining the difficulties you had. But the colors are so pretty!
Most of my difficulties were due to my local Thai postal office service so you shouldnt have a problem. It wasn’t anything to do with jackson’s. 😊
So the US should be ok.
@@priscillawarren9979 yep. i’ve never had a problem with jackson’s seevices myself. they’ve been great.
If you use half pans more fit in your palette! Prb24 is one of my few yellows I keep on my palette, love it!
i'm so happy we both like PBr24!
Commenting to boost for the algorithm :3
aww thank you spencer! i appreciate that!
Coelin 🗣️ seal-uhn
thank you for the correction hippo!
Oh this was the package ! 😂
hahaha 😂
I placed an order for a huge roman szmal order I hope this doesn't happen to me.
But your paint looked so lovely and jacksons had a giant sale on them.
assuming you don't living in my immediate area in thailand that the same postal office services, then dont worry, you'll be fine. it's not jackson's. it's my post office.
According to google that funky gray word is "pshibsh" or "shibish".
It turns out that Przybysz means newcomer and is pronounced like SAY biss. Let's see if YT allows a link to one of its own vids: czcams.com/video/4eQ__NyhvYE/video.html Congrats on hunting down that haul, Vee!!! I look forward to your thoughts about it all.
SAY biss? that's so deceiving! haha~ oh gosh, yeah, hunting down the package felt a lot easier than the slip since there's not tracking number for the slip itself LOL
Imagine having a pencil on the other side of your brush (preferably the one you can change)
Hi there, so you said you are collecting PO48, is that being fazed out ?
yeah, po48 has been discontinued. i talked about it in my past vid here czcams.com/video/XBGY8uuDRg8/video.html
First comment! 😂
🏆hehe!
@@PaintinHiding Yay! Can’t wait until tomorrow to see what you got 🙂
@@MrsBarnabas Hey MrsB 😃👋🏼
Ever since I saw a comment last 2 weeks or so about using saliva on brushes, been licking my natural hair brushes back into shape. Like a cat. Gotta saturate brush after cleaning. Might help with your bamboo brush. Weird method but.... *shrugs* 😂
hahhahaha~ my bamboo brush is fine now. it just needed a little washing and manipulating ;P
That works really well
