    Ah I think I understand fromt his video that it's hooked up as Pre-fade aux is that right, brother? I am curious if you flip the phase on the return channel how that sounds.
    Cheers, big up yourself!

    • @sergiodubgaku
      @sergiodubgaku  Před 2 měsíci +2

      yes Bro, I send the tracks in pre-fade mode to the aux of the HPF, and from the HPF to a return track, then in this return track I send the signal from HPF by different auxs to the other fx like phaser, reverb or echo so I can have a lot of possibilities and fx chains

      @@father3dollarbill it’s a High Pass Filter and it’s a classic fx in dub and also in electronic dance music. This unit is crafted by audio merge and is called King Tubby big knob.

    Hi Sergio,
    My name's Stefano, nice to meet you!! :) A few days ago the Audio Merge KTBK HPF also arrived for me but I can't get it to work. I have a sound card which is the Apollo Twin from Universal audio and I use Ableton live 11 as a daw. Could you tell me how to connect the HPF to the sound card and how should I make it work inside the daw??
    I await your kind feedback, thank you!! :)❤💛💚

    • @sergiodubgaku
      @sergiodubgaku  Před 7 měsíci

      Hi Stefano! One of the way to use the ktbk in the daw is: Connect the ktbk input to line out 4 of the soundcard and the ktbk output to the line in 2 of the soundcard, then in the daw you have to route the Aux channel 1, the input is line in 2 and the output is line out 4. Finally open the Aux 1 in the channels to send the audio to ktbk. I hope it’s works, regards ;)

    Real bass sounds can never be duplicated.
    This sounds too 'digital' if you know what I mean.

    • @sergiodubgaku

      For the bass line of my riddims I have use acoustic contrabass, electric bass, synth bass, square wave…
      and I like all of them. For me bass sounds are amazing no matter which timbre they have.

    Nice. How did you route it?

    • @sergiodubgaku
      @sergiodubgaku  Před 2 lety +7

      Hi, the AUX1 OUT goes to the HPF IN, the HPF OUT goes to a mixer track, also the AUX2 OUT goes to the TAPE DELAY IN and the TAPE DELAY OUT goes to another mixer track. On the returning effects tracks you can send the filter to the delay or the delay to de filter to change the effects chain. Ask me if are there any doubt.

      … and I used to send the instruments to the filter in pre-fade mode and turn down the fader so I’m using only the wet signal

    Hi Sergio,
    thanks for your answer... can you believe I couldn't do it?? KNBK doesn't work for me and honestly I'm getting a little discouraged...:( Do you know Ableton live well?? If it were possible to exchange contact details to make a short mini video call I would be deeply grateful because believe me I can't find no other person who can give me a hand...I hope you can give it to me.❤💛💚

      Hi, it seems that the best way to do it is using External audio effect plug-in, my Ableton Lite don’t have this but it works with a return channel, I send u the link than I’ve used.
