😊 Thank you for bringing me to a calmer being.
Everything has synth keyboard sounds in it. Would be nice if there were some real plain accoustic instruments and less synthetic sounds.
@@emmalouie1663 Yes. The cello sounds good.
I'm a simple person. I see the words "cello" and "dark" and I click. Thumbs up!
Look up Montana Cellist...
@@driven531 I never knew I needed this until I heard it. The biggest problem was, "which playlist to put it in".
Well, after checking out "Montana Cellist", I now have a "Chello" playlist.
Thank you.
Li'lBlu RidingHood 🌹💙 You’re my kind of person! “Cello” and “Dark:” I get it! Take care and stay awesome! 😊
@@driven531 Thank you for this recommendation :)
I'm also a simple person. i see the words ''deep'' ''dark'' ''relax''...Birds up!
The most glorious instrument ever
Indeed.
Don't forget about organs.
Well, after the piano.
@@thomask1424 that's debatable :D
Is the piano
It's amazing how the cello can play such a dark and melancholy sound, and yet sound so beautiful and haunting all at the same time. I find myself always coming back to this video.
Agreed, its haunting and sad, but also brooding and somewhat sinister. Perfection.
Listen to Rasputina of you think you'd like cello rock
Tragic, considering that you've probably not listened to a single classical cello concerto. They're much better
@@antoinepetrov im in need for a low and evil sounding cello concerto, is there any????
You can call me weird but I sometimes listen to this and stare in the dark and clear my head of all my troubles and stress as a form of meditation.
Weird really just means something someone else is not familiar with...
Sincerely,
Way Out Weirdo
😉
@@Sunshine_Daydream222 I get called weird, eccentric and quirky all the time, being called these names I take as compliments. Being called weird - to me - just means limited edition.
super weird
better try real cello. might work better.
I agree ... I think his "imp" got him to misspell "wired" ... 🙂
I just drove 20 miles from work to home while listening to this in my car...I don’t remember the drive home.

Autopilot, every pothole, bump, line.. burned in your mind, as indistinguishable silhouettes pass by.

i am listening to this while the sound of rain and thunder echos around me, it is indescribable how good this feels
Although that type of weather does intrigue me, I am simply listening to this on a cold, dreary [albeit a sunny] day in December.
The same here. I am drinking a glass of wine and it's thundering and raining outside. Indescribable beauty.
That sounds 'Simply Mindblowing' . . . will have to wait for the rainy season (in Central, TX) to start . . . . . going to give it a listen!!!!!!!
It's Night and the room is dark, I have 2 CZcams windows open, on one monitor I have this playing. On the other I have a Victorian London Street during a rain shower with some thunder. I've mixed the audio levels so that it sounds Magnificent with the rain complimenting the cello. Hypnotic

Hearing a cello makes me feel like I’m making peace with my demons...sadness, anger, sorrow, all softly subsides and my soul is simply just still, at peace, with zero judgments... I can now rest. 🦋
Erica Glista yes! Yes!
I believe it's just music. Music sets us free, for in all its forms it speaks the language of our hearts.

Idk this makes me feel dark emotions, but I like it, gives me creative inspiration
Dark Meditation Music should be a genre in itself.
Psychosis perhaps you’d enjoy the Cryochamber Channel! It’s not meditative per sé but it is very deep and dark and sometimes use it for deep thinking in general.

I absolutely love cellos played like this. It's beauty...I simply cannot describe how peaceful I feel right now.
Nice description, actually.

Ist is much better to play the Pierce yourself on the Cello! Imagine all those low notes humming through your body. 😀
There is NOT ONE REAL CELLO in here. !!! So there is nothing played, just some keys.

Aniruddha Sharma This is your music score as your darkness stirs
I listen to this music when I study old bones: bioarchaeology and mummies are my cup of tea. I'm also a musician (singer and lute player) and love cello. Many blessings from Milan, Italy.

Listen only to the sound of my voice
Let your mind relax
Let your thoughts drift
Let the bad memories fade
Let peace be upon you
Surrender yourself to your dreams
Let them wash over you like the gentle waves of the bluest ocean
Let them envelop you. Comfort you

Imagine somewhere safe

You're standing in a clearing
Trees around you so tall, they touch the sky
Pure white snowflakes fall all around

It cannot overcome the warmth of your beating heart
Can you hear it?
You only have to listen
You hear it slowing?
You're slowing it
You are in control
Calm. At peace
Timely, a Most Auspicious time. Thank you Beautiful Soul
I tried to think of sth different while listening to this, but always the image of endless white comes into my mind. Arctic winds and heavy snow. Solitude.
Never heared such a cold cello.
The cello i swear reverberates all the lost souls from a distant time in the past crying out from war, heartache and love! Its 3:39 am in tx. Working late. This calms me... Deeply

For when you have been through Hell and Back. Pain, Anger, Sadness, Grief. And you develop a Deeper Understanding of Life, and its Tragedies. And you can now, sit and embrace it, as it's become a part of your history. A part of you. A stronger you. 💀🖤

Yes this is just like that I feel the pain feel the anger and see the sadness
Indeed Norma.
Deep and edgy.
This is prob one of the most peaceful things I have ever listened to. I play cello and this is the "coldest" I have ever heard a cello before in my life.
I was starting to get concerned about why I’m feeling so cold (goosebumps and general skin discomfort). Until a thought occurred that it could be the sound, that I’m emotionally, physically, experiencing. Then I read your comment and was comforted because it makes sense that sound can be manipulated into influencing sensation.

I keep hearing Winter is Coming
Oh, my sweet summer child. What do you know about fear? Fear is for the winter when the snows fall a hundred feet deep. Fear is for the the long nights when the sun hides for years, and children are born and live and die, all in darkness. That is the time for fear, my little lord; when the white walkers move through the woods. Thousands of years ago there came a night that lasted a generation. Kings froze to death in their castles, same as the shepherds in their huts, and women smothered their babies rather than see them starve, and wept and felt their tears freeze on their cheeks. So is this the sort of story that you like? [watches as Bran nods] In that darkness the white walkers came for the first time. They swept through cities and kingdoms, riding their dead horses, hunting with their packs of pale spiders big as hounds...
I love being able to sleep to this, the low tones are so peaceful. A lot of other calming music on CZcams have higher pitched notes like from piano and flute etc, and they make me wake up. Not that they aren’t peaceful in the right times, just not when I’m trying to sleep. 👍😴
Exactly! that's the only reason I found this
Yes higher pitches arent relaxing to me
I feel the same for this piece of smooth, low-tone music to help me calm my mind while I try to sleep.
Precisely! But if there was realistic sounding rain in the background it would be even better.
@@nunyabidness6045 there's an Android app "Rain Sounds" and it plays while CZcams is running. I tried it and it works!

Bright sunlight outside,
All craziness inside.
Love it.

I love your comment. Having a cello playlist has helped me so much.
Sets a mood for sure
Hauntingly beautiful.
Sitting on my front porch at 1am and taking hits off a GB to this...
I was unsettled after a while when I realized that this music was forcing me to think of things I ignore, flaws in my life, my life goals, why I’m failing at attaining them, how I can get closer to them, all my little anxieties, paranoia’s, and insecurities... I almost turned it off.
Great meditation music. Confront your ego. Temporarily tame and temper it.
I love this kind of music, If I had to chose a music instrument to learn to play the cello would be it.
I do not consider this to be dark...it is comforting.
Dark is comforting
When I saw this eight months ago I immediately dropped what I was doing and walked outside...and kept walking. I walked through yards, over freeways, across fields, over mountains. I walked through day and night. I walked through hail storms, blizzards, and even a small earthquake. I'm back now. Good video!
Metaphorically? Or literally?
For real?
"What is the music of life?"
"Cello my brother"
Unless its played by some orc bard, then you just murder it
Sublime
This piece of music is simply brilliant and the picture to go with it is both eloquent and classical. Another timeless find.
Deep chords and harmonics; the perfect ballance for deep thought and expression
I listen to this everytime i'm reading old gothic novels, always helps with the immersion.
I have been blaring this in the kitchen and my work shifts seem more relaxed.
This is so pure and raw...what you hear is a soul laid bare
We keep coming back to this over and over again. Thank you.
The cello in the right hands is a miraculous instrument. Love this.
It stirs the settled dark
Churning the air of that all but forgotten place
'tween space and mind; beyond thought and time;
A memory lost; A remembered grace;
No fear no woe
No friend no foe
Thought lifts us from where we stand
We are witness to ourselves reflected upon the land
We weave a tale all our own
Known by all as all is known
Nothing unseen; All is washed clean;
Into the Dreamers' Dream we embark
Until again we stir the settled dark
This has given me a idea. May I use this in it?
Love this.
Who wrote that? I really like that one.
WOW. Is this your original? Fantastic.
All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream
The music in paradise is beyond ... its far more alive and beautiful to the extreme!!!!
Absolutely LOVE this. I am a loner and this touches me deeply.
I asociate the unknown darkness of the ocean depths while listening to this...
More cello dark stuff please
yes, please.
He saw the hammock rocking back and forth in the dark.. watching the sway in the breeze began to think about that sensation..
to swing so effortlessly yet it made no sound.. he turned around and sat on the edge, then positioned himself within its full length.. the motion soothing.. counting each time it went from left right to work out its natural beat.. that helped to soothe his mind at times.. calm his thoughts when worried or unsure..
Sometimes it was as if he could see music where there was nothing visible..
he didn't talk about it much because he didn't think people would understand..
Within his own private thoughts he was safe to explore the wonders of all that music had to offer.. around him his own family talked about things that didn't always interest him that much.
He didn't feel he could relate.. on so many levels .. but within his mind was a private world wanting to come forth and be seen..
He lay with his hand behind his head and looked into the darkness above.. his eyes looking at the moon.. if the moon had a song to represent itself honestly.. what would it sound like..
would it include the feeling of weightlessness.. and yet still have a solidarity.. how would it express itself as both light and darkness.. which disproved the claims the two can't co-exist.. was there not a darkside to the moon?
To have a darkside means to have a non dark side..
The sky itself displayed that dark and light co-exist.. for shadows themselves are only seen when a light source is introduced somewhere.. yet he felt much like the stars and the night sky some light source needed to be much further distanced. He didn't like the way some people viewed the dark.
They didn't understand it. Appreciate it properly..
The light may serve its purpose at times.. but often people became blinded within it.
Those within the light feared darkness so greatly and yet.. by being in the light they cast their shadows upon others.. yet they couldn't exist without the light in the first place.
Oxy-moron he thought.
Irony.. disillusioned, incredulous, those who appreciated the dark could see what was cast from the shadows of the hearts of the light-bearers ..
This is perfect. I relaxed, closed my eyes,& 3 good memories from my past popped up in my head.
As he walked through the burning embers of the place he once called home, cloaked in shadow, he had only one thing to say, "You forgot who I was. I'm just simply reminding you, reassuring you of my dominance. You. Serve. Me." He bent to one knee and held her head up with one finger. "Never forget who I am, darling; What I am." He whispered into her ear, his hot breath nearly searing her skin, "I was your father, but now, simply...eternally, I am."
If I try sleeping to this I'll literally dream myself into the Game of Thrones world.

Why is this most reminding me about some apocalyptic world background where there is nothing else than darkness and dreadfull landscape of silent and emptiness?
It reminds me of just what the music makes you feel with that uneasiness and knowing how Jews felt passing through the gate that read “Arbiet Macht Frei” is exactly like this

I've been into metal since 13! I'm 16 now but still.
Metal is comprised of the classical minor scales a lot of the time (the darker tones of early Sabbath, Zeppelin etc...)
If you think of some of the melodies in this video and imagine them being played by Kim Thayil of Soundgarden or Tony Iommi of Sabbath it makes perfect sense! 😉

Is very dark yes but beautiful is to use in every way in any situation in all matters
Why are people calling this dark and sinister, and haunting, and melancholic. This is the sound of your heart beating at rest. Just visualize your heart echo into the world, sometimes we forget the odds of being alive. I'm so glad I found cello music, I've really been wasting so much time with different music, everything right now seems like noise and then the Cello like an old grandfather clock with a pendulum swinging and now I'm hypnotized. My mind opening to regions unknown like the dark, deep ocean where things glow to make light. I want to blast all these light bulbs, we became soft and now our security is insecurities. I want to light a🕯️ and watch shadows turn into shapeshifting creatures. It is all this light that falsely empowers but true darkness is where I'm renewed. The cello has put my mind at the seat of all those who conquered the world. I remember all my enemies and laugh, I remember all my depression and laugh; laughing in the darkness scares evil away. Maybe to understand this illusion, we must see upside down. This place is the secret of secrets that no beloved could dare. Who am I? Who am I? Am I just observing or participating in creation? Who are all these people leading me away from my center? O future beloved, you will have to come to me🏔️I am the watcher of the mountain peak, bearing the scepter what must I seek? I am one with all desired, fill my coiffure with more Wisdom, this invisible gold the hounding thieves and wavering fools can never find. To be continued...... somewhere away from all this ramataz social media Unite all your darkness with all light, this new Age is of Harmonizing not polarizing, go to your center of Self do not follow fools to the center of the universe, theirs is only met with more conundrums and darkness. Be at ONE! That's the magic behind the Cello, many notes played as one
I feel that I've been search and waiting for this all my life.
I had a stressful day and I came across this. Even though I haven't watched even half of it, I know it's going to help.
Walking in a mausoleum by myself under a cloudy, misty sky while listening to this is a whole new vibe🖤
I've found my sound. I am dark, i am depressed, I am nothing. Here is where I belong. I am home in my darkness. No light, no shine, no air. Let it take over me.
It's weird because I have light, hope, and joy... and this is my jam, too.
I wouldn't call this 'relaxing' so much as 'soul-crushing', 'ominous' and 'foreboding doom.'
Still, beautiful.
The way you described it is probably a good description to things which relax me.
To each their own. I've fallen asleep to this many times.
Perspective
Some would call it dark i call it home this instrument has been around for a long long time still as inspiring as allways its the arrangement and perspective thank you for putting it all together
True, but I still think it depends on how the song is used rather than the piece itself.
