In case you are keeping Track this is Video # 139 of Classic Car ChitChat Videos!
I hope my Classic Car ChitChat videos make you smile. I do them in my spare time because I truly love cars and my intentions are simply to honour the beautiful cars I get to see and to really understand the passion and love of the vehicle by the driver (or caretaker as Jay Leno would say) of the car. I also understand too that my videos perhaps lack the polish calibre of great CZcamsrs like: Doug DeMuro, Scotty Kilmer, and of course my favourite Supercar Blondie. I also know that I can’t even come close the quality & finish you get from the likes of Jeremy Clarkson and the boys at Top Gear. I think they use a little fancier equipment than my little iPhone… LOL
Mission Statement:
My Objective through creating these videos is to shine the spotlight on people who love their vehicles whether it be a car, motorcycle, or even a bicycle…. Bottom line is if it has wheels and you love it then let’s show that passion to the world!
Equipment Used:
Camera
- Just an iPhone SE (Nothing fancy - which proves anyone can use whatever you have handy to make a video… you don’t need really expensive equipment)
- I also use Insta 360X2 which is perhaps one of the best investments I have made and allows me to capture some really cool 360-degree views and also creates a “drone like” effect with the invisible selfie stick attachment.
Gimbal - DJI OM4 - For that ultra-smooth cinematic look. (To be honest... still not quite sure how to use it but one day I will figure it out!)
Audio - Rode Wireless GO II (I gotta be honest… this is really the biggest investment that was made… I wish there was a cheaper option but after the first couple of videos I soon realized that audio quality is important and hopefully better than the onboard mic on the iPhone!

Beautiful vehicle! The lady is adorable and she knows everything about her car!
Absolutely.. a very smart lady with an awesome car.
Just a joy watching this remarkable car and a very smart and pretty lady.
Ken, thank you
What a fantastic lady who really knows her car.
Jeff, Laura certainly does know how special her car is.
This is one of my favorite looking cars from the 50's and takes me back to the great 50's Era of big beautiful cars. A truly fantastic video and a fantastic gal too.
Troy, yes Laura is amazing.
Desoto is also one of my favourite cars from the fifties.
Dennis, I have to agree with you the lines and proportions are in perfect harmony. I also wanted to take a moment to personally thank for watching my videos and subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it. As you may have seen in my videos that my intention is to showcase not only the beautiful car and really give the owner of the car (the caretaker as Jay Leno rightly says) the opportunity to share their story, love and passion for their car. Thanks again Kevin.
@@ClassicCarChitChat you are welcome.I enjoy your channel.Wishing you and your family all the best for the new year.
Beautiful Laura and a beautiful 1958 Desoto fireflite.
Nojno, yes you are correct. Laura’s love and passion and knowledge for this beautiful car is exemplary.

@@ClassicCarChitChat Thank you very much. The majority of my cars have been classics. At least 45 years old. Unfortunately today I drive a modern plastic thing like the majority but I really enjoy enthusiasts like yourself and Laura. Your channel is excellent. Long live chrome and V8 engine's.
What a beauty.
Boyd, absolutely. The lines on this car are spectacular and Laura too is a little bit of an aficionado on her car. I also wanted to take a moment to personally thank for watching my videos and subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it. @@ClassicCarChitChat Great work on the show. You were wanting to do a shoot with my two 73 Imperials, unfortunately one has moved on to Texas (TB) Tux is here still with me.
My grandpa had a beautiful Desoto almost the same color as this one. Watching the video brings back fond memories for me. This lady is amazing and great to see her love for this classic American beauty.
Dan, I agree with you.
This was so much fun Kevin! Thank you so much for having me on your channel. Merriest of Christmases to you and yours 🎅🏻
Laura, the pleasure was all mine. It was a blast to chat with you and your love for your car is certainly evident. Kevin
Awesome car and super cool lady. Another fantastic video man!
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video and a super lady who knows her stuff. I was impressed with her knowledge of this incredible car and she raised the bar. As always fantastic and heartfelt content that just gets better on this channel.
Couldn't agree more!
This is the best video you have made so far and I have been binge watching all of them. This lady is awesome not only is she beautiful but she knows her stuff too. Happy Holidays to you too.
Thanks Kai.. I agree.
Hey classic car this is another great video. What a cool gal and boy oh boy she knows her stuff. The Fireflight although with a smaller 361 motor created enough torque but the larger motor was always desired. My uncle Paul had the pillarless hardtop and it too was beautiful and I have an affection for the car and an old photo i often looked at. He too was a MOPAR guy and took great care of his car.
Thanks Frank.. I’m sure this video brings back some fond memories for you.
Such a classy car and car owner. The colour is beautiful. The side profile looks very similar to the '58 Plymouth belvedere/fury.
Benny, I agree with you.
Agreed. But they both look great.
You GO GIRL!!! I loved this video and not only are you beautiful but you know your gorgeous car so well too. I hope you boys are paying attention that even us girls are passionate about cars and it's not just a GUY THING!
Julia, I agree.. car lovers can be truly cross all boundaries.
I look at this magnificent masterpiece and then I look at 95% of the cars made today and I ask myself: "Where in the heck did we go wrong? Seriously?"
Tomatohater (love the name) how right you are. I would even stretch to 99% of today’s cars pale in comparison to the awesome cars from the 50’s to 70’s that were engineering marvels with REAL designs.. not like most of today’s cars that as my friend Doug Ellis say are “belly button cars” ( check out his video of the nipple pink Oldsmobile”.

@@ClassicCarChitChat I watch all the time, primarily for 1965 cars and before. Lost interest in most car designs after that.
Merry Christmas to you too Kevin. This is a great video to treat us with at Christmas. What a remarkable young lady and she really knows her beautiful Fireflight too. Wonderful to see this level of superior quality of car and a lady who appreciates it. I took a look at the picture of your grandfather's wagon. I am certain it's not a Desoto or Studebaker. I am thinking it is likely a British car or the Holden equivalent perhaps.
Thanks Steve. I agree.. Laura also did some searching and found too the station wagon was not a Desoto. Another viewer commented that it could be a British car.. quite possible.
The 4 door sport sedan, without the pillar looks much better, though the condition on this car is impeccable.
Louis, I completely agree. I also wanted to take a moment to personally thank for watching my videos, leaving a comment and for subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it.

Brilliant video and beautiful lady (oh and her car is nice too 😂). I've always loved those American 50's classic cars and this one checks all those boxes. Kevin the photo you posted of your grandfather and his estate car I think possibly it is a British car. I'm thinking it's an Austin or possibly even snow old Triumph estate.
Thanks James.. I agree. Laura is amazing and I think quite possibly the station wagon could be a British car.
Wonderful car, wonderful owner, but the COLOUR! Don't think I've ever seen a nicer one.
Glad you like it!.
Laura is amazing and loves (and knows) her car so well.
