Universal Orlando After Hours VIP Event - Hosted by Undercover Tourist - 3/6/2020

- Julie (aka EPCOT Thot) and I attended Undercover Tourist's first after-hours VIP event at Universal Orlando - The VIP Fun Fest! On Friday, March 6th the park closed to the public at 8PM, after which it was open only to event attendees until 1AM. In addition to the 2-park private access, the event included a t-shirt, a cool flashing wristband, all-you-can-eat food from dozens of restaurants and carts, and all-you-can-drink non-alcoholic beverages, including Butter Beer.
We had an incredible time - the event was extremely well-organized and we feel like we got a lot of bang for our buck. Obviously the best part was being able to walk on all of the rides (aside from Hagrid's) with zero wait, but it was also cool to try food that I wouldn't normally try or was curious about, such as the lavender earl grey ice cream in Diagon Alley.
In all, I'd highly recommend this event and would absolutely attend another one!

Hagrids is def worth a 45 minute wait. By far one of the best attractions in Orlando.
Yeah, on a normal park day I absolutely would have waited, but I wanted to hit the 3 other rides I'd never been on (Fallon, Fast and Furious, and Kong) and had a bunch of free food to eat. Spending 1/4th of the VIP time on one ride just didn't seem smart. But it's not going anywhere - I'll see it sometime soon!

Thanks! He did a limited run of them for the EPCOT 30th event. Wild that he's been working on it for that long - it seemed almost complete back then!

You should've went on Hagrid's. It wouldn't have been 45 minutes and I promise you would say the wait was worth it. I would say it would've been 20-35 min max since US always overestimates the wait for that ride by at least 25-50%. The OI meetup I waited 35 for a posted 75 min wait. You still had fun and that's what counts. I agree with you the after hours events is probably the only way I'll experience the parks outside of Halloween Horror Nights. (I was the one that gave you the advice in the WDW Kingdomcast group to go at the end of the night, sorry you missed Hagrid's, Universal is a dice roll in terms of operations for that ride)
Yeah, there were so many other rides that I hadn't been on with no wait that I figured I'd swing back around to Hagrid's. Like I said, it gives me a good reason to come back. But I definitely appreciate the advice!
