What a lovely lady! I can't imagine what it would have been like to have known Elvis in any era of his life but I love to hear the stories of him at the beginning of his career. He was always a giver. This proves that. From what I've read in books they say he would give away his toys as a child. He was truly an exceptionally unique human being. That's the attraction to Elvis to me. When I first started learning about him in 2016 it was his heart that truly made me a fan. There's so many stories of the good he did for people that were never even known about until after his death. Thanks again for another wonderful story!

@@christinavines559 David Bowie was a massive Elvis fan. He even flew from the UK to see Elvis at madison Square Garden in 1972 in concert. His favourite Elvis song was I feel so bad. And of course we all know he had the same birthday has Elvis.

That's a really great story the car Elvis gave to her could have been one of the first of the 600 or more cars he gave away during his life. Loved the story about the jacket Elvis showed his appreciation by wearing it for her he was that kind of person. Thanks for the upload

OMGosh, I loved this! What a story, what a vest! And then to know that Elvis wore it on the Ed Sullivan show must have been a dream come true for Barbara, knowing then that she go him a great gift. Beautiful story and such a sweet lady. I think they even looked alike at the same age. Elvis appreciated others thoughtful deeds and never forgot how to be a gentleman.

ELVIS was so DIFFERENT to anyone before or during and there are many things i have noticed watching lots of videos is what he wore. At 2.29 into this video look at what he is wearing at the Piano. I can only describe it as a blouson cuffed shirt - it looks shiny and quite a thick material and may be velvet but i am guessing but i know he did wear velvet shirts.
What a story about the Christmas gift -the material bought gold lame and black satin and had it made up and Elvis wore it on that TV show. WOW. Another wonderful story

It' quite obvious to see, that Elvis liked to please and show his love to all those that loved him. People say it's hard to buy things for someone that can have almost everything, but to those, like Elvis, any small gift to them is personal and that's what counts, like the waistcoat.
Is this lady still alive only she ran, runs a small hotel in Trenton MS and l’d love to stay there.

And this was Elvis all over , i bet he had the notion she might see the show so he would wear it , always thinking of other people , he was never puffed up with his position jst loved wat he did had fun with it , never thought he was better always ever the humble man he always was , gladys & vernon did a great job of instilling values and obviously how to treat people and woman . most today would never i feel be as giving as elvis the more he earned the more he gave away , he always said he didn't want a savings account he wanted his money to be spent NOW !! , he knew poverty and he wanted to help anyone he could whether he knew them or not , and sometimes he didn't but that didn't stop him. in his Interviews he says the thing he thinks most important is to be considerate of others , and he care for others deeply even to the detrement to himself , if he thought he wasn't giving to his fans 100% it would make him physically sick , he loved them so much he wanted to make sure they got a good show
Elvis enjoyed his life and money! He made sure to do whatever he felt when he became rich!

He deserved better than the gold digger Priscilla. Gladys would have kicked her back into the gutter n never let her n her scheming parents get their hooks into Elvis
