I honestly thought this was going to be just a fun little gimmick for Fortnite for a little while. But no, they clearly put a ton of love and effort into this. And the song choice was perfect for the trailer - made me nostalgic for the days I used to play with LEGOs as a kid.

Right off the bat, they HAVE to increase the storage, inventory, and stack capacity. It's way too limiting later in the game when you get more and more resources. Also there were 2.3 Million people playing this when I was on yesterday. That's insane.
I had the PERFECT IDEA:
Imagine creating your own custom builds, and then submitting those builds for approval to be added to a library of prefab blueprints that people can use in their own worlds!
Not only that, but they could have a section specifically dedicated to the creation of builds that can be added to the procedural generation, so other people can find your build in their randomly generated world!
If anybody remembers Bungie Favorites from Halo 3, my idea is very similar to that now that I think about it.
Take the Bungie Favorites concept and add the ability to add custom builds to your procedurally generated world. That would be an absolute game-changer for Lego Fortnite and procedural generation in general.
Reminds me of Lego Batman games I used to play as a kid it’s so well made i got to give it to them

the only real issue i have with the game so far is the inventory being super clunky and the movement being super slow if your seed is bad for biomes
It’s not slow tho it’s the same speed for Lego games
Well most Lego games with open world have much faster transportation which this game is seemingly lacking.

Only real complaint i could have is if they remove it at the end of the season. I would love if this is a permanent fixture in fortnite or at least went on to become its own game. I love being able to relax and unwind for a bit after the stresses of battle
It should be permanent tbh, noway they basically made minecraft just to leave it afterwards.

Ive never play these type of games. But decided to try it, and i find it brilliant. I play it with my son.
The building system is in place because eventually we will have huge builds and we will definitely need stages otherwise we would have no idea where anything goes! 🥰
Now it’s getting hard to get bored of Fortnite so many new updates and gamemode this is amazing
So happy this is a permanent game mode!

I can't help but notice all the very similar aspects of this game and valheim. I wouldn't believe them if they tried to say it wasn't a major influence on this game

Later in the game you can create vehicles to travel quicker but it needs a lot of resources.

I see the villiage mechanic as a good mix between Terraria and Minecraft villages.
The only downside of this seasosn is the slowness of norm walking and crouching.

Lego fortnight got better movement speed than Battle Royale
It kinda reminds of Minecraft mixed with Fallout 4 settlement building
Beds regenerate your health when its low so you dont have to use food
