This process is very similar on most 90's and early 2000's Honda and Acura (Accord, Prelude, Civic, CL, Integra, etc)

Thank you for this. I own aa 5th gen and my clutch lost pressure after letting it sit this past winter for 2-3 months. I needed to bleed the clutch and was looking for a DIY on the 5th gen. You came in clutch! (Pun intended)

Hey jus changed out my clutch cylinder on my 1997 Honda prelude but it still stuck in gear , didn't change the master cylinder since I couldn't find any leaks , any suggestions on what else could it be , the clutch shifter is stuck in 4th gear

I can’t properly put in my slave cylinder because that clutch fork won’t move so I can’t line up the slave cylinder to bolt on. Do you know what could be the issue?

Help, I have an 05 Civic si. I replaced my master and slave about a year ago, but not my line. I believe it's in the process of deteriorating. My fluid is black with chunks. Needless to say i have very little clutch pedal. I also used luk brand cylinders. I was hoping someone knew of the fittings that I should use to convert to 3AN. And where i can purchase a braided teflon coated line.
you should be able to find a replacement setup for anywhere like chasebays, hybrid, ebay, etc. The fittings and hose would be the same for any civic with k swap. EG/EK/DC/EP3/DC5/FG2/FA5
is the braided clutch also apply on civic es 2001?
Yes, not the fitting size for the master cylinder is different
I added a new clutch hydraulic line and master cylinder and when i bleed it the clutch still stays down and wont go up. What am i doing wrong?
Open the bleeder screw, Pump the pedal by hand 5-10 times, leave pedal in down position, close bleeder screw, lift pedal by hand, check fluid. You should be good to go

im currently doing this to my 97 Honda Prelude, I was told a Ktuned B series clutch line would work too, but now that im in the middle of it, it does not have the same fitting from the clutch line to slave, any chance u know what the correct fitting i need would be? awesome video, very helpful
I think it's m10x1.0 to -3an most braided clutch lines are -3an
Yaa but its an inverted flare, so hard to find it, i know the one from the master is a 12mm and the slave is a 10mm, but to find the correct one for both sides seems so impossible@@hondaresource

Man thanks for this. Ive noticed that I've had to refill my clutch fluid far too much and this afternoon after work noticed what I thought was water on my floorboard... Nope. Brake fluid. Is there anyway you can post part number on the parts you used?

Great tutorial! I'm converting the hard line to steel braided on my Civic along with new master & slave and this will be my go to reference video 👍. Also, I ordered some extra Russell AN conversion fittings and the new ss line also came with a banjo bolt. I test fitted it all and it looks like it'll all fit. To your knowledge, is there any advantage/disadvantage to using the banjo bolt style like your calipers...vs just straight threaded style? I can run it both ways no problem but was just curious.

I replaced the slave cylinder and kept the old master cylinder, it had pressure now it completely has none, now the device that pushes the slave piston isn’t moving anymore why is that? Please help!!!
I'm confused. what are you talking about pushes the slave piston? It sounds like you need a new master cylinder and to bleed the system. The master cylinder provides fluid to the slave to move the piston.

@@hondaresource glad you liked that haha gonna be replacing my Slave Cyl. Today I lost my clutch on my imported 95 Si saddly popped the hood and there was a big puddle of brake fluid under my slave so problem child was found lol. Got the parts yesterday so will be replacing shortly wish me luck! Didn't seem to bad from what I seen in your video!
