Go Harold! On the old hose it looked like there might have been a kink in the hose which would explain the possible back pressure that caused tank failure and the hose failure?
The ground isn't in the diagram, but it is mentioned in the installation instructions...

Harold h thank you , I was watching these videos because as you mentioned Rheem dosent mention where to put ground, there is a sticker that says unit must be properly grounded.

Hi. I have the same heater water. Which one is L1 and L2. How you wire yours? That's where I need help
It's marked on the lugs.
Is there a reset button on this unit? Mine stopped working after a storm/ power failure. None of the breakers are flipped. Not sure how to proceed.
There's a small time delay fuse behind the black plastic case with the knob.
That little fuse sure enough was the problem. Of course it was a special order part, but we got it fixed. Thanks!@@chriscox52282
