Question is, where do you put Ibra, in the second or third group? I would argue for the second since Neymar and Mbappe have been overhyped and didn't prove their value while Ibrahimovic won trophies almost everywhere with far weaker teams. Even at Barca he was the reason they won the cup or the title, don't remember exactly which

The debut goal you were talking about for LA Galaxy in the MLS is more special because Zlatan had just landed in LA and went straight to the ground. He was not scheduled to play that day because of jetlag as he just flew in from Stockholm, Sweden. But after Galaxy were down 0-3 against their arch rivals LA FC, the crowd started to chant "WE WANT ZLATAN". The Lion heard them and went to the coach and told him "They want Zlatan. I want to give them Zlatan." And the rest is history ❤
Another episode from his time in LA is when LeBron James, as a welcome-to-LA-gift, sends Zlatan a LA Lakers jersey. Zlatan signed it and sent it back to LeBron! 😂

Great reaction. The backflip goal against England was very special. I attended that game as that was the first ever football game played on Swedens new national arena, Friends Arena. Zlatan was determined to be the first player ever to score on the arena.
Of course he scored the first goal, an he also scored all four (goals) against England, beating them with 4-2. I sat above and behind the English goal when he did the backflip goal. I thought the roof of the arena would break at that moment. Legendary.

We saw him turning towards the ball that the goalkeeper headed as he was way out of his goal tender zone, and Zlatan just back flipped without turning around. We followed the ball in the air an as we sat in the exact angle the ball was heading towards the goal, we realized that this was probably going to end up in the goal. When it did we all, about 60 000 people, just screamed as load as we could.

Zlatan is a beast though. So full of confidence. I remember a press conference before a game between Norway and Sweden. They asked him to compare him self with John Carew (Norways big star back then). He said what Carew did with a ball he could do with an orange, and under his breath he let out: probably with a banana too.
Even Zlatan knows his limitations. He does not shy from saying that Messi's the best player in the world. So his braggadocio is usually only on things he can back up. And he is a consummate team player. He will use his intimidating presence to protect his teammates if another team tries to rough them up.

If we had not had Messi and Ronaldo, Zlatan would have been the legend of his generation. Fantastic player, with the most extraordinary winner mentality you could imagine.
He has played for Ajax, Milan, Juventus, Barcelona, Paris SG, LA Galaxy and won a cup or a league every year, except with LA Galaxy.
Just went back to Milan 2 years ago at the age of 40, when most players have since long retired, and won the league with them for the first time in 10 years for the club. (By the way, 10 years ago was when he played with Milan last; he pretty much is the patron saint of Milano at this point.)

Zlatan is one of the best ever. But saying he is top2 ever is pretty much said. Sweden actually played always worse with him than without. Ronaldinho is definitely in converstation. Hard to say how he compares with prime Zidane and Pirlo. Then we can always speak about Xavi and Iniesta. And know I'm only speaking about midfielders (if we don't count Zlatan).

I'm Swedish and I can tell you that Zlatan is pretty much king in this country. He is our LeBron or Brady. Football is huge in Sweden but we aren't very good internationally and doesn't have any world class star players. Except for Zlatan. But he is old now. The world belongs to Erling Haaland now.
