Unbelievable that this guy went number 10...The football Gods were on are side that day...Thanks Chiefs I waited 50 years for that day and totally worth it!!
Ricardo Richards It looks a lot like the same offense the Chiefs run. Lot of screens and sweeps keeping the defense close to the line of scrimmage but with qb that can make the defense pay dearly for doing so. Alex Smith could rarely take advantage of that downfield.
First game I ever saw Mahomes live. I thought he was good but no way I thought he'd turn into the beast he is today when I was watching him torch LSU lmao
Yo this should have shown NFL scouts that Mahomes was number 1 worthy. LSU is essentially an NFL team. Mahomes made these guys look silly. This shows that NFL teams unwisely are sticking to their old hat practices and beliefs. Its a whole new era folks. The stuff that worked in the 90's doesn't cut it anymore. The bar has been raised.
My favorite QB prospect in the upcoming draft. He's probably a 2nd Rd prospect who will go in the first, and I really really hope the Bears can trade back into the first to get him. After a bit of development in terms of adjusting to a pro style offense and fixing his mechanics (mainly his footwork) he should become a top tier QB.
He is my favorite as well. I am hoping a team moves up and trades with my Cowboys to get him. I would like to pick up a 3rd for the move. He is a very good looking QB and deserves to be rated higher then he is.
Kids arm talent is ridiculous. Recently being mocked to Arizona which seems high but I bet in 2 weeks it'll be even higher. Raid offense hurts him but one of these teams in the market for a QB is going to love his kids ability.
It's the ability to make every throw with accuracy even with poor mechanics. His upside is huge and he probably landed in the best situation under Andy in KC. Unfortunately for a guy with such a high ceiling he's also got a very low floor.
5:21 all the hating analysts think he's slow or "lucky" because he can look down the field as he's making defenders fall and miss 🐐 his ability to beat ever tackle is unmatched!
Please Cardinals don't mess this up and snatch this kid up. One year or two under Palmer and he's in. I think Palmer needs two more years anyway, he practically lost 2-3 years between rookie year and injuries.
@@Mik3yLow I forgot I even wrote that. Jesus, the Cards deserve worst. They are just run by a gaggle of idiots. They are almost impossible to follow the last 2 years. I won't be surprised if they aren't a team in 5 years.
Should have known, 10 of those defense starters are playing in the NFL right now. So those were not a bunch of insurance salesmen but 5 Pro Bowlers. Too bad he wasn’t playing for LSU the only thing they were missing that year, they would have won the National Championship going away, with Leonard Fournette and Darius Guice and those receivers, 4 whom are playing in the NFL with no QB. LSU never had a QB like that.

He's making these same moves in 2023... the shovel pass, the scrambling to extend the play, the bombs. Incredible.
LMAO @ 7:13 where the announcer is concerned he might be over hyping Mahomes by comparing him to Johnny Manziel.
Yup. And to think Stephen a smith says he wouldn’t be that great without his weapons.
Jesus Christ. Is this a game tape or a highlight reel?
Teams saw this and was like “nah we good”😂
best qb in the last 4 draft classes you heard it first in here.
ahahaahh

👀
Somebody might have been right 👀
Tj Adams somebody was spot on
He's fun to watch.
Chiefs GM Brett Veach is the reason I watch this highlights he mentions it in the The Heard

I watched him every Saturday so I had no doubt he was gonna rock the NFL. I still to this day remind my friends that doubted me that I was right lol
And the Bears thought Trubisky’s tape was better......
Best QB period in this class.
MVP and Super Bowl MVP id say you were right 😭😭
This aged very well
2sbs 2mvp 2fvmp rn
Two times Super bowl MVP now.... Nostradamus
Man this kid always had the gift😊

Zohraish Virani I like him. I was reading on Bleacher Report about this guy and was like 😳 until I saw this

John Haver good call

and also for me he is the next aron rodgers
You called it
I think he's going to be better than Aaron Rodgers.... When double the amount of Super bowls has Aaron Rodgers in 1/4 of the career
Better than Rodgers

This kid is going to be a good NFLer
Fr
Im an lsu fan and also a chiefs fan. I didn't get to see this game but omg. He did the same shit in college fr
Who is here from Rich Eisen interview with Brett Veach?

Cardinals are fuckin retarded mate #cheifsnation
Brawhahahahaha! But hey, now you have Murray and might get a shot sometime at losing to Mahomes and the boys in a Super Bowl.
Oh how they should have listened! Although, I don't believe they had a pick before 10? I thank the gods everyday that he came to KC 😂😂😂

i agree, i was there at that game dude was like a magician
If he was playing with LSU, he would have had a better year than Joe Burrow did this year.
3 rings later he still plays the same
This was 2017
System qbs can do it in the nfl too
They lost this game tho
Of course. The defense is the worst in football history and Leonard Fournette is a beast. LSU has 5-star talent all over the field.
they were blown out 59-21 i think
Yeah because is was Pat and Jakeem Grant vs the LSU 5 star defense, which has 0 notable NFL players now..
They exploited Mahomes' main weakness, which is of course his inability to play defense.
Michael B. Uhhh they had Jalen Mills?
