I am from Seattle. Coffee is in our blood. Please research why you should not store your coffee in the freezer, especially the beans. This is a big no no fyi.

@@Graymanvanlife it’s really good. I just found a spice blend that has cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, and ginger. It’s called Hawaj. Just add the butter, sea salt, and vanilla extract.
When I saw your coffee recipe I started making a list so could make it! I'm 71, but watching your recipes reminds me of the fun I had in the kitchen with a friend of mine, 😂 what fun we had, she taught me how to cook real Mexican food and I taught her soul food! This is The Best Coffee blend by far. I drink tea during the week and coffee on the weekends. I've been looking for a strong coffee, went to a Asian market Friday, and bought a spice pack that had all the spices you named. I saw this video Saturday and thought the stars are aligning. I already had the coconut sugar and heavy cream....long story short I made this today and OMG, I will never drink coffee any other way. Love it❤🔥❤

Love the video, as always! Try a local coffee roaster if you want something even tastier. Buying beans roasted weeks/months ago and shipped all the way from Italy is fine, but you'll be blown away when you taste some delicious coffee roasted this week by kind people in your area :)

Your coffee recipe looks really delicious but I highly recommend grinding your beans with a burr grinder, not a blade grinder for even sized ground coffee, and for even sized extraction. ❤

I don't care for star anise generally, BUT - I'm definitely willing to suspend judgement in order to try this! I love the whole process of making coffee (or tea) in the morning, and wow, this looks lovely. Guess it's time to bring my French press out of retirement. 😊
Worst place is freezer for coffee. You need air tight containers not bags and just keep in cabinet. Oils will stay in beans🎉 Just sayin
Freezing coffee beans is absolutely fine in a zip tight bag.
@@harifederer Coffee importer here. Sorry, but the freezer is not good for your beans, no matter what you store them in. And freezer bags are still porous. Airtight container in cool, dark storage in the best place to keep them fresh, just like @markshute3207 said. Coffee...good coffee...isn't cheap. Treat it right and it will treat you right.👍

I find it interesting how you kind of make your French Press coffee similar to pour over, minus the filter. We just switched from French Press to Pour-over. We also make cold brew.

I love using heavy cream with my coffee instead of half and half. It’s just divine! I have got to try adding spices to my coffee grounds now. Thanks for the suggestion!

The French press is a game changer, it will turn bland coffee to yummy coffee.
Btw keeping coffee in the fridge or freezer creates condensation and makes the beans lose flavor faster. It's better to keep them in an airtight sealed container or bag in your pantry. Once you open the vacuum seal they start to lose flavor so use them quickly.

Never bothered to open it because I use my coffee maker, but your recipe looks amazing, so you've motivated me to try it. I have everything, but the heavy cream, which I've never used in coffee. I'll have to get some to give this a taste. I was wondering, tho, when do you add the chocolate? Do you grind it up with the other ingredients, or do you add it to your cup before pouring the coffee? My neighbor is a chocolatier, and she made me a chocolate tablet like yours. I wasn't sure how I was going to use it. Lol! 🙃
Hi 🫶🏽 welcome! You can grind the chocolate or add a triangle to your cup, microwave with cream so it’s extra hot and releases the aromas!!! Oh my goodness, what a delightful treat to live next door to a chocolatier 😍💝
