@@rfuciarelli2937 No he isn't. Satan is a different character in this show. Lucifer is the Sin of Pride and rules over all of Hell; Satan is the Sin of Wrath and only rules over the Wrath Ring. He's definitely the best interpretation of the DEVIL, but in terms of being Satan, they're not the same character.
I like to think that when it comes to his daughter he’s more like a goofball because he’s generally happy to see her and wants to be at his best, but when it’s time to be the King of Hell (as seen with how he dealt with Adam) that’s when we see why he’s the King

People seem to forget he is the leader of the entirety of hell, listen I know from what we've seen from him he doesn't seem to do much, but he's got to have some responsibilities as the king of hell. I don't think he can hang out with his daughter as much as he wants to, let alone live with her.
Sadly, I think he has to go for one reason or another, maybe even die. Otherwise, deux-ex-machina scenes life the finale (not insulting the finale this is exactly what would happen and it was awesome) would keep happening. It wouldn't be a story of Charles' growth if Lucifer took down all the big bads with his brute force. Imagine the Avengers movies if somebody just pulled out a flip phone and called Dr. Strange in each event, it would be very boring and shorter.

There's a theory that Lucifer couldn't do anything because of a deal he made with heaven in which that him, his family, and all the hellborns are excluded from the exterminations and in return, Lucifer is not allowed to intervene. But Adam broke that deal by harming Charlie which means Lucifer is now free to intervene and fight back

I imagine the twist with them is he didn't have to lieor anything to them, Adam treated them like he owned them, and Lucifer probably just treated them like they were people, and when your only options are a guy who sees you as an object or a guy who sees you as a person the choice isn't hard.

What I love about this series is that, for all of it's antics, violence, sexual fun times, and foul language,(which I enjoy thoroughly), it's full of heart. It would be so easy to make this yet another cynical adult animated series, but it's sincere and earnest. The characters are so DAMN endearing. Also, the music and animation are top notch.
What I think makes this work is people were passionate about this project. This wasn’t a big company reaping another paycheck, this was a Risk that ultimately paid off
The language isn’t that bad, it feels natural. Like people i work with cuss ALL THE TIME. But unlike some over the top shows that would over use it, this throws them in there at Natural times and places.

Also the fact that a relatively tiny number of angels was able to run rampant throughout hell. It is in no one's interest to escalate matters further. Sure he could probably kill all the angels on the field by himself but what happens when heavens brings out the big guns. Adam all told was basically heavens' equivalent of a very powerful overlord (like Alastor) and he was still able to fight on relatively even terms with the second strongest demon in hell. A full out war just leads to a lot of death and destruction with no guarantee that hell will actually be able to survive let alone win while at the same time there is no guarantee that heaven won't take immense casualties.
@@nicholasorchard2091I'm sure Lute and Sera will somehow escalate it now that Adam is dead and a number of angels are too - permanently gone in this case. Let's not forget that Sera greenlit the whole exterminations in the first place out of her misplaced paranoid fear of Hell rising up and overrunning Heaven, and now that Hell knows what can kill angels and given how horrible everyone's situation in Hell is like with the threat of permanent soul death over their heads because of said exterminations, there is very little reason now for Hell to not want to rebel and rise up against the dogmatic forces reigning over Heaven and deciding who is saved and who is damned. Unless Charlie can focus everyone on just bettering themselves through her Hazbin Hotel. It's not like anyone in Hell can actually enter Heaven anyhow without an angel's power, and Vaggie doesn't have such power to make it happen herself, so Sera is ironically and unwittingly forcing an eventual confrontation that will end badly on both sides with ugly consequences.

The fact that Lucifer didn’t just erase Alastor here shows how much restraint he has. Alastor was absolutely pushing his luck with the whole number trying to convince Charlie to take his side too. Sucks that Alastor will likely be the final villain and get the upper hand on Lucifer through Charlie.
@@josephmcgrane5166Given the theories that Lilith owns his soul from beyond Heaven too, the two characters both being noted to have just completely disappeared seven years ago and that Alastor suddenly returned (and Lilith will too in Season 2 making it about the same amount of time they stayed gone) implies he'll use Charlie to get out of his deal from Lilith against Lilith and use Charlie against Lucifer too in the process to get it done and take over Hell. Notice how he also metaphorically comes between Charlie and Vaggie in both the pilot and show proper, and he took advantage of Charlie's broken mood following her fall out with Vaggie upon the reveal Vaggie lied to her?
