Yeah man that OO out of the honcho is devastating.. its wicked to hang on to though. I've done manual labor all my life and it still tries to fly out of my hands. I ran a few 1oz slugs for break in and I wore my riding gloves for the extra grip. This gun is definitely not for everyone but it is a ton of fun
Did you get the tube fed or mag fed pump? I have the mag fed and don't see too many people with them, never see them in the stores. It's always a hit at the range

The birds head grip cannot be removed and replaced with a shoulderable stock, as was done here, without ATF approval through the NFA system. Had the brace merely connected to the birds head grip in a non-permanent way, it would be legal but you are pushing your luck by doing so. These are classified by ATF as a "firearm". Not a shotgun. Not a pistol. Not a rifle. Technically a grey area due entirely to the grip that cannot be shouldered. As soon as this firearm is modified in a permanent way, as done here, it becomes a sawed off shotgun and requires approval of ATF.

Even if you go through the paperwork, pay for the stamp, wait for the ATF approval; you still may NEVER conceal and carry such a modified firearm. The day may come when the laws and rules we don't agree with, get struck down. Until that day; why be the guy that gets a felony and loses all his guns over a stupid mistake? The pistol brace would have to attach to the original birds head grip that comes installed on the Honcho to be legal. The fact you removed the grip and added the shoulder stock makes this an NFA shotgun. You should put it back to original, apply for the tax stamp, wait for it, then put the stock back on. You DO NOT want to get caught with this firearm modification without that stamp. You have turned a "firearm" into a sawed off shotgun.

If this is the same length as the shockwave and and tac 14. Which I'm pretty sure it is. Your mod is illegal. By removing the birdhead grip and adding the pistol grip you basicly cut 2 inches off the barrel. Braces and buffer tubes that are non functional don't add to the overall length. This was perfectly legit like 5 months ago before the last ATF letter than made the Orgin 12 SBV illegal.
I have an SB TACTICAL Brace on my Shockwave pump... that was legal when installed last year... I don’t think the new ATF Letter addresses shotty “firearms” this go round..

Kimber makes a 1 shot extension that works perfectly. Anything for an 870 remington works.
So it's an 870 pattern adapter in the back? Do you know if the forend is too?

I noticed it looks like there is a spacer or something between the new grip and the gun. Did that come with the pistol grip?
That is a spacer but was bought separately at the gun show I went too, it’s like a spacer for a sling attachment!

Found the grip. What sling plate is that. The ones i see are indented for the grip and wont be flush
