They're crazy. Pure big brother insanity.
"Discriminating against certain categories of shoppers"
What did you mean by that Jacob Ward? Can you elaborate on what features those 'categories of shoppers' posses?
I'm not sure about the picture in the background :/
Thanks for the segment.
I am not going to shop where they scan me like that. They have enough $.
They scan you at the dmv 😂
That's a have to kid, I can chose NOT to be scanned by not going to an open free market business.@@BootyWarrior80892
@@BootyWarrior80892 Granted, it's been a long time since I've had to deal with the DMV, but do they?
Never shop at rite aid ever again
Is the company that made the software face any responsibility and repercussions?
You the kinda guy that buys a bicycle and shoves a stick in the front spokes and breaks an arm and sues the bike maker for it.
A ford truck hit the neighbors dog, Is ford responsible and should they get repercussions?
@@thaphreak Rite-Aid didn’t develop the software. Why are you so mad? Do you have stock in the company or what?
And it was a legitimate question. I was curious.
@@morningsidedriverock mad? lol... you poor thing, you're faced with logic and all you can do is project.
@@thaphreakyou aren't using logic at all.. if a company told rite-aid that their face recognition worked when it obviously doesn't, why is it that out there for that company to be held accountable?
They didn't commit any criminal offense. Most of this technology comes with a contractual understanding that it's not 100% accurate anyways.
No more scooped ice cream.😢
I thought Rite Aid went bankrupt.
in new england yes but california no
the ai knows who stealing stuff....it should of gotten promoted not banned...we living in upside down world tho
The AI using facial recognition hasn't been "taught" enough. It was loaded with tons of white people's biometric rules, but all other races were underrepresented. The "rules" it was using were inadequate. This is a big problem.

You only did it in a handful of stores, but in the meantime, you ruined several people’s lives when they got arrested and couldn’t get a job or suffer lifelong mental trauma for being helpless and humiliated in a threatening situation.
Yeah plus being hacked for thier databases
They’re going bankrupt regardless.
