Nick Shoulders (@neckshoulders) is known locally in Fayetteville for his art just as well as he is known for his music. We took an afternoon to interview him about the influences and events that lead to the artwork and music by Shoulders we know and love today.
Due to COVID, Fossil Cove's annual Frost Fest beer festival had to be canceled. There is traditionally a live painting as part of the festival, so the Fossil Cove crew asked Nick if he wanted to still contribute to the spirit of the event in a different way.
Head down to Fossil Cove in Fayetteville to see the mural in-person, and be sure to follow @neckshoulders and
@some._.dark._.holler for more art and music!

Love how the album is coming out in 4/20
This guy is one of the coolest people ever.
Nick Shoulders is a blessing to American Culture.
He is just too precious!
Love this art style! I was super drawn to the album art when I first discovered Nick's music and to know he does BOTH is just a big ol cherry on top of a already excellent sundae
nicks music playes in my head all the time
Thank y'all for this!
Love, The Swamps of Florida.
What an amazing artist. So lucky to have found him online
This is awesome thanks to both Nicks for a great interview.
This is very cool 😎. Very humbling. Looking forward to seeing move videos like these. Cheers and thanks
Love Nick’s stuff, love Fossil Cove. Some of the work Chad Maupin did for them was also pretty dope.
Damn I'd love to go camping with that fella! Some good shit talking and good stories
Cool, humble, real.
Really great performer songwriter...
One of those against the current who are bringing back real music instead of modern pop/protools'd collage that doesn't sound like music played by people anymore.
Hoping that a new wave of artists like him is coming.
Like those who learn performing busking in the streets or in small bars.
Learning the hard way how to be heard against trucks ... subways or loud barflys.
Sierra Ferrel, alynda segarra (hurray for the riff raff) and in the past Violent Femmes, Janis Joplin...
lol i knew he was a hardcore kid
DOPE!!!!
🥰🥰🤩
coolest people ive ever met came from right here in the ozarks... also some of the worst.
