If scuba diving is your thing don’t buy the X4.
The X4 has a dive case preset which has 8K video. Today I wanted to try my new dive case during a snorkel. I was surprised that it stopped because of ‘over heating’. Or so it notified. Very frustrating for sure. I suspect this overheating problem will be ironed out in the X5.

X4 is better. The reason everyone is saying the x3 is better is because the field of view is smaller which means it looks less shaky
