Ingredients required for making aloo curry -
* 3 tablespoons oil
* 1 teaspoon panch phoron.
How To Make Panch Phoron -
• How to make PANCH PHOR...
* 1 dry bay leaf
* 4 medium to large potatoes
* 2 teaspoons finely grated ginger
* 1 medium tomato
* 1/4 th teaspoon hing (asafoetida) - optional
* 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
* 1 teaspoon kashmiri red chilli powder (please adjust proportion according to preference)
* 1/4 th cup water for spice paste + 1/4 th cup water to rinse out spice bowl goodness + 1 cup hot water for gravy
* 1 teaspoon salt or as per taste
* 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
* chopped coriander leaves (cilantro )
* 1/2 teaspoon bhaja masala or you can also use 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder but bhaja masala gives unique flavor. Please click on link to make bhaja masala -

But not to put a sour note on things - I've been having a few health problems that prevent me cooking food with little or the barest of time in preparation.that is why this and your lentil and cauliflower dish are perfect for me to do. I have to incorporate meals with lots of peppers,leafy greens broccoli and the like to help with my illness, that's why I've not been very vocal lately, but I just love watching your videos even though I can't try most of them. Hi Bumbi , when you say , a cup of water , what measurement/quantity do you mean as in , how many fluid ounces ??
8 oz. At the same time I would like to mention please do not stick exactly to the measurement of water used. You can add more or less depending on how you would like the consistency of gravy
