it hurts me, that in this guide they didnt put that Daesung is the Prince of Trot (traditional korean music) and his super huge hit song, Look at me, Gwisun (song that GD write, btw) and that Seungri its the happy vitamin of the group
First idol to do trot music and also first kpop soloist to top oricon album chart and also most attended kpop soloist in japan dome tour 🤷♀️ i think some vips only like flexing hyung lines more than maknae lines 🤦♀️ and for a daesung stan i am enduring it for 13 years

yeah, there are so much to tell about Daesung, but somehow those who doing those video not very interested in him or lazy to dig deeper
@@cree_VI they mostly dont even expect too much, since they see other groups who mainly have group songs and when they dont know bigbang, they dont expect it that every single member is also as solo very successful, since bigbang is the only group who has every member being successful solo singers too.
Daesung covering his eyes is now part of his individualism as an Artist and everyone now feels its his iconic look. So to have him still with the long fringe was heartfelt. It's our Daesung

Taeyang got married before he enlisted in early 2018 and they had a son at the end of 2021.
TBH I think Daesung hides his eyes because of malicious compliance. 🤣 He’s known for being sweet natured but he’s also quite witty and sarcastic. If someone criticizes him publicly he’ll play along but go completely overboard to embarrass them. He has gotten a lot of criticism over his looks since he doesn’t look like an idol and refuses to do any cosmetic procedures. He even broke his nose in an accident once and had to get rhinoplasty but didn’t let them make it “better”.
TOP doesn’t have much solo stuff likely because he hasn’t been allowed to release what he really wanted to under YGE. He left the company because he wants more control over his music which sounds like it’s going to be pretty epic but possibly very controversial. That may not be a bad thing though. I’m looking forward to it.

I did not know that about TOP. Is it the same the other member ? (I'm asking since that the others had multiple solo releases)
I'm pretty sure it's T.O.P who doesn't want to release a solo stuff because he was not ready. He said this in his last interview and now he is ready to release it
@@metoo2110 You're right, T.O.P was the one who didn't want to release anything and he only left the agency now cause there're things he wants to pursue that can only be done by himself (as mentioned in his interview with prestige, he wants to "healthily" debut a group different from the current system).
Taeyang has openly admitted he didn't wanna go solo when he first did, but was forced by the company. He already got so much to do with BB activities. So, I don't believe they've been held back. GD hasn't really had any free time, releasing so much for BB, his solo stuff and composing to other groups also.

Yeah, over the years it was extremely painful journey for both them and their fans who couldn't do much for them. I'm just so thankful they managed to pull through and continue their journey together and with us. BIGBANG is forever a family. Of course, there's a lot more to them and honestly fans could probably do an in-depth series on their history as a group, but you'll learn as you go. Thanks for checking out BIGBANG.

A few things that I think are important to know about BIGBANG that were missing from the guide:
- Taeyang was the first to get into YG. GD came next and they trained together from a young age (12) and were supposed to debut together as a hip-hop duo but instead…
- YG decided to make a boy group and the whole process was documented in a reality TV show
- Daesung is an all-arounder and was the only “new” trainee (aka not GD or Taeyang) that got into the group passing all areas
- Seungri didn’t initially make the cut into the group but convinced the head of YGE through a second-chance audition
- T.O.P. was an underground rapper that went by the name Tempo
- Daesung has a lot of skills for hosting & variety shows. He was on a variety show called “Family Outing” that was very popular with the general public
- They we’re the first to introduce official fandom lightsticks (theirs is a crown) & claimed yellow as their fandom color. Prior to this fandoms identified primarily through colors.
- Some iconic GD songs that didn’t make it into the guide: HEARTBREAKER (this is the title track from his first solo of the same name; CRAYON
- Some iconic Taeyang songs: ONLY LOOK AT ME; WEDDING DRESS
- Some iconic T.O.P. songs: A GOOD MAN; TURN IT UP; ACT LIKE NOTHINGS WRONG

Nope. In Daesung covering his eyes, that was on their album MADE. The "smell" part was them making parody of kdrama Secret Garden. And kindly check also, Turn It Up by T.O.P if you wanna check out on their solos.

Big Bang parodied the drama Secret Garden; that's where the Daesung "smell" clip is from. I watched it before watching Secret Garden and it was funny, even though I didn't know the references. I watched it again after watching Secret Garden and IT. IS. ART. It is absolutely brilliant!!

"smell": they used to do parodies of popular TV dramas, and this was a parody of Secret Garden, which was a hit drama in 2010.
They didn't include some of Taeyang's early solo singles which were a complete sensations like "only look at me", "prayer", "I need a girl", "wedding dress" etc. It was because of Taeyang's early solo MVs that western choreographery was brought to korea and the reason why a lot of idols today even got into the industry.

That's what unique about BIGBANG. They are like solo artists put together in a group. They have successful solo careers. They have strong individuality yet they blend well as a group. They are perfect as a group. Something difficult to achieve. If you discovered them during their solo, you won't think that they belong to the same group coz of the differences in their music. So all in all, BIGBANG covered both the solo and the group aspects of their career. 💛💛💛💛💛

I know some fans nowadays if they know who’s bigbang is they gonna culture shock on what kind of their songs and their mvs like but bigbang paved the way on many things that idols experiencing nkw like having solo while still in the group or producing their own music. Their wild but still staying humble they maybe do something but their also human and idols are not perfect.

As for daesung i don't really think he's insecure about his eyes, because he also likes to talk and joke about his smile eyes. It's just that he's always given the hairstyle where he got to cover his eyes like that a lot (maybe YG take the "ugly" label in mind). To me he always look the best by not covering his eyes 😁

also in 2018 before seungris scandal, he showed how much he cares not just for bigbang, but also for his junior artists. he was first scheduled to enlist to the army soon after releasing his album in 2018 and until then, he was working extremely hard. not only did he had his own promotions to do, perform his songs, appear in many shows, doing concerts etc, but at the same time he was also promoting his junior artists blackpink and winner a lot and helped them in their promotions too.
