Been recovering these for my local Animal shelter. Like the idea of drilling 2 holes and using them with screwdrivers to tighten the fabric. Thanks for posting these videos!

Used your instructions and made a dog bunk bed. Thanks for the east to follow instructions. I ordered 4 way furniture corners so the beds would stack.

You can use a hand held pvc pipe cutter if you don't have a humungous electric saw thingy.

wow i was going to purchase 2 elevated beds at $20 each for my huskies but this seems much more fun, affordable and practical. where did you purchase the fabric or canvas?

In response to Honey Bear Cold areas need raised beds. Also shelters are usually concrete floors.

¿Qué tela utilizan? Hay muchas que se estiran con el peso del perro.

Nice project! What kind of screws were used? Do they stay tightened in the PVC?

Excuse my ignorance - but what is the point of elevating the Bed - wouldn't a Big Cushion on the ground work just as well??

Dogs with arthritis, hip dysplasia have an easier time getting up from an elevated bed + air circulation is better

I know my dog loves to tear up fluffy beds. I think shed be less likely to tear this apart.

Better ventilation. Fluffy beds can be so hot during the summer.

I’ve found that a just a drop or two of a light oil, like sewing machine oil, can make putting the parts together much easier. Just tap them on a hard surface or with a mallet then look inside to see if the tubes are all the way in. If not all the way, the bed will be out of square. (First, make sure they are cut exactly the right length.) Also, use acetone to take the printing off the pvc. I like textilene for the cloth for ventilation. Having said all this, you might not save much money making it yourself over buying a Kuranda.

Why do you have to play that awful music instead of explaining what your doing? I hate to sit there trying to read what point your trying to make when it's white on top of screen and such small text. Bad video because of this.

I don't understand why your dog wouldn't be comfy. They lay on floors, driveways, decks, the ground, etc.. This is fabric. You can always put a thin dog bed on it. When we traveled with our show boxer, he preferred this bed to his "puffy" bed.
