Hello everyone!
Touhou 19 came out and I automatically started transcribing Nippaku's theme!!!!
I love this theme. When I heard it in gameplay it was a big surprise how interesting ZUN implemented these voices.
As usual, the transcription is not perfect and in fact I couldn't completely transcribe the pattern of the voices as in the original theme, so I tried to improvise so that they just sounded good....
The instrumentation, while they don't have to be right, I tried everything to make them feel similar.
Honestly, I ended up very exhausted, more than usual. I don't know if it is because of the complexity of the theme or because of the time it took me to transcribe, but maybe I took a break until the next transcription.
Maybe in following transcriptions of my opinion about the game and the topics in general, since doing it in a single description is somewhat chaotic.
Anyway... What did you think of the game or the Ost? I would like to know your opinion!

As for thoughts on the OST, love it but honestly Kingdom of Nothingness and Tiny Shangri-La are *THE* stand out tracks to me, they're so good and ZUN's use of instruments that he doesn't normally use really make them shine. Game's also fun
I also love Tiny Shangri-La. That instrument gives it a very peculiar atmosphere in that theme

Great transcript. This theme is very beautiful. Even though it can be said that it's kind of just 2 main melodies, it holds up really well.
The main melody is so touching, and it and the composition that surrounds it are full of emotion. It's a wonder to hear the main instrument used in most. I felt in it mostly melancholy, hope, hopelessness and drama.
The parts with voices and Erhu come as a sudden bomb of drama, anxiety and tension, and it's beautiful to see the main melody changing after it. The piano in the background is beautiful.
About the OST, I have had good impressions of the new themes. Love this percussion (I really wasn't a fan of Elementics or how ZUN used it). It's really nice to hear more traditional drum and cymbal beats. The use of ZUNpets does not sound vulgar or exaggerated from the first listen, which is something very positive for me. The instruments are beautiful and well used. The bass is pretty nice. Unfortunately few new themes, but it was to be expected.
I think the vast majority like the new percussion and mix of the current style. They are very balanced so that the sonority is not exhausting to listen to and it is quite noticeable with the remixes that ZUN made of older tracks, the quality is much higher.
Of course, I also expected more new tracks, but with the ones that are already there, I think they are enough and they are pretty good, like the one by Son Biten!

honestly, while I think you could go back to this one and get it fully perfect later, the voice at/after the ZUNpet climax is ON POINT and that's the most important one imo, awesome work

I wonder how ZUN could get that word wrong after getting it right in LoLK's title. My guess is that he didn't, that it's a typo rather than a "proper" misspelling.

Motivation can do great things. Usually when a new Touhou comes out, it motivates me enough to try to transcribe a theme as soon as possible.

They are voices, specifically from a library called (Mongolian Voices - Ancient Phrases)
The piano sound was different because I use a different piano than ZUN as I understand, I liked the trumpet to sound like that.

No es un Erhu, son vocales de un programa que ZUN uso, y vaya que le quedo muy bien el tema de Zanmu y su transfondo.

how'd you get the trumpet to sound like how it is here?
I seem to remember that I didn't do much. The first trumpet chorus is just trumpet with some EQ and reverb. Then, on his second Trumpet chorus, I add an extra Brass as a layer to give it a little more punch.
