Phosphorus recovery and reuse from wastewater | WEBINAR

This webinar examined phosphorous recovery and reuse from wastewater. It was customised for the water and agricultural industries interested in a sustainable cyclic economy.
The webinar gave attendee’s an introduction to the feasibility of recovering a marketable phosphorous product from wastewater streams using proven technologies in light of long-term strategies from key stakeholders in Ireland, such as Irish Water and Teagase Agriculture & Food Development Authority.
In consideration of current zero waste initiatives and striving for a circular economy aligning with the European Union’s (EU) “Farm to Fork Strategy” and “Green Deal” action plan towards a more resource-efficient and competitive economy, attendees heard from the various stakeholders in Ireland and globally on the viability of reusing a waste stream to provide agriculture with a complimentary product to replace chemically produced additives.
