- Hey Everyone! I've decided after much deliberation to get back into making long-form context videos! After making short form for an entire year, I've concluded that it's a good tool, but not something I could relly well on if I wanted to get monetized or have sponsors.
Many thanks to you, the viewer, these videos are made possible by viewers like you.
Grab a snack, sit back, and enjoy the video!

Absolutely. Everyone names their VW. Think of a good name that goes with your car and with your heart. This super beetle will be a part of your life for a very long time.
Great beetle. Good luck with your beetle build. Great project for a young man. You can find a ton of information on CZcams.
Thanks 👍
Reminds me of when I was cleaning out my 68 Fairlane. No coffee crisp, but I did find a packet of Borkum Riff pipe tobacco. And yes, mice love old cars. Good luck with the restoration! There are lots of resources out there for restoring old Beetles.
The color is neat.
The lack of rust in the spare wheel well and door pillars is great. It’ll take a lot of work, but it’ll bring you more satisfaction and life skills than the video games you traded in ever would.
In Australia the 1972 Superbug "S" (1302) was very popular and the most popular colour was Dulojn "Honey Brown".
Nice music and great find as a Fellow Canadian it is nice to see a fellow young car enthusiast preserving these pieces of history nice video and you have earned a sub and a like.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Liked & subscribed 👍 hope to see more videos of your bug. All the best from the UK 🤟
i believe that is the gas heater next to the gas tank for theinterior heat. even back in the day they would leak and catch on fire cool car . you can get every part for that car online or through VW clubs. simle green will be your friend for your seat belts and cleasning stuff. if you want to look after hood and trunk dents get yourself a beater bag and a hammer try fixing before buying takes some extra time but you need money for other things
looking forward to your series
the "bomb-shaped" thing on the left side in the front trunk looks lika an extra heating unit.
The beetles had sometimes had problems with the heating and you could turn on this unit bevore you got in the car.
I had a super beetle for 11 years. ...
Very nice! Lots of info on CZcams google and or wiki Reddit etc I wish you good luck! I came from Facebook lol 😂
Congratulations…the beetle bug will bite you hard ha ha ha.
Supers are a little different. This one is the last of the “flat” windshield models.
Generally, the running gear is the same though.
Nice.
The tube looking thing by the gas tank is a gas heater which is a great find for the winter. My brother had a 1973 super beetle and my father had a 1973 custom beetle. Both of them drove them till 1999. You can by parts in the states no problem. Very good car to learn working on cars.
I really like the video, can't wait for the next episode.
I looked at your vin. Your car is like two months older than mine. That’s pretty cool I think.
1:29 Thousand yard stare
VW beetle mobil classic yang keren👍
No my friend.
There are many more exciting mouse hiding spots😂
I love that color also if you need emblems or other small rare parts hit me up i think they might be a bit easier to get here in Germany lol
His name is mnason, and he isn't on a mission but he is fixing a car so thats pretty neat
Green pea would be a cute name ✨
Good Luck🎉
‘72? Leave it where you found it if it’s not ‘67 or older.
I knew there would be a comment like this lol
@socaljarhead7670, that is very old timey way of thinking. Late models including Supers are getting well deserved love and have been for some time now. And let’s be realistic, they are vastly superior to earlier models in many ways. I have both-everything from a 50 to a 77 and while I love them all, you cannot compare an earlier model to a later one in terms of driving enjoyment.
They are disgusting. Where there was once metal, there is now plastic. Gaudy lights front and rear, orthopedic looking seats, rounded glass and aprons, and just generally shitty materials all the way around. It wasn’t limited to just Beetles either. Volkswagen as a company took a serious nose dive in style and quality beginning in the 1968 model year. The Bug has never been about the driving experience, it’s always been primarily about the look. The vibe you put off. The look and vibe of the post ‘67 Beetle is shitty. Anybody that has ever been hip to the whole VW scene knows this and had nothing but contempt for later model Vee Dubs because they make the older ones look bad just by association. I was born and raised in the ultimate car culture, Southern California. Orange County to be exact. Orange County is the center of the vintage Volkswagen universe and it is WE who set the rules on what constitutes exactly what “cool” or “sano” means and a Super Beetle is most certainly not it!
