So glad you took the time to do this review; it was so beneficial as I was going to use it to blow water out of my RV water system prior to winter RVing, and not having a power cord long enough to reach my outside plug / water blow out plug makes this a 'NO GO'. Much appreciate!
I have had one of these for what seems like 10 years. I am going to purchase my second unit tonight. Having a short AC cord has not been a big distraction. I have plenty of cords at home. The DC cord is pleanty long enough. I leave the AC cord and air lines out all the time. I store the DC cord in the space in the top. Reaching the switch has never been a challange. The AC pump died a couple of years ago. The DC side still worked great. The air needle clip lost its grip and popped off at 110 psi. Me and my kids stand near it with our fingers in our ears just incase the tire pops. We agree the automatic shut off makes this possible.
Thanks so much for this. I just unloaded the thing and realized the dinkiness the AC cord (had to google to even know that wall outlets are AD!), and the pump cord not making up for it. Thank you for validating my frustration! I was hoping for confirmation on which attachment to use (needle?). My husband used to do all this stuff. Thanks for being there! Hope I figure the rest out.
Listen I have to say I am college-educated and yet I felt extremely stupid until I found your video and I still felt stupid after that I looked everywhere and could not find the off-on which thank you so much
For that kind of money you can hardly expect perfection in any compressor in that category. I like it for the fact you can plug in to 10vac. Using an extension cord should be acceptable to most people.
You are so funny. I was thinking and LOL over the rabbit ears, too. Good thing I wasn't drinking a soda cause it would have been all over the floor. Black & Decker must have asked kindergartners for this design.
Hey there, I have bought one of these but the newer design ASI300, Can you tell me why the air pressue for inflate comes out so so slow? The handbook even says it reaches 2 bar in 90 seconds... i have tried it on my SUP and after 35mins i turned off as it was showing 0.2bar... WTF is this? Isn't it just plug and use?! I feel like i missed something or i dont know, but thats the 2nd device with exact same issue, saying 3mins for full inflate anything and then band... 35mins later still 0.2bar.
30 years ago, I used to have a beautiful Fuji America bicycle, with wickedly thin tires and Presta valves, but I don't have it anymore, and that was the only thing I had with Presta valves. Since Presta is 25% smaller than Schrader valves, I don't believe the compression fitting on this pump will work on a Presta valve without an adaptor. None comes with it.
Thanks!
I Finally Found the On/Off Because of This Vid.
The Diagram in the Manual is Hard to Read.
Much Appreciated !!

tryna figure why mine doesn’t work any thoughts

Thanks for taking the time to make this honest review.
Great review....helpful in my purchase.

A review which actually is a review. Well done sir.
+Shutter Alpha Thanks!
early models had a quick disconnect DC battery cord. Changed that and made switch small on later models

Looks like a great unit but looks huge compared to heavy duty portable pump. I got the $60 slime unit at Walmart for my car.
I wonder how many max amps it draws. My socket is rated for 10 amps and I don't want to have my fuses blown... even by Black & Decker
finally some good review... the compressor with cables looks like a catfish ;)

Why does this pop up in my searhes for airbrush compressor? Is this compatible with airbrush guns?
Probably not, you need a tank, this has no tank (I have this unit).
I bought one in Argentina today and the electric cord now is 6ft long; is B&D watching your videos? Thanks for sharing this video.
Mine in on it's way in the mail
Does it have Presta ?

Thank you for letting me know, glad I didn't waste £80 on this.
Aw jeez so terrible bad design...a lot of things 😬👎👎
I have this air compressor and I don't agree. This pump is perfect for how inexpensive it is. I've used it for probably 10 years.
