    Thanks, Paul, for teaching Eskrima. There are many ways for kali, but I have personally experienced and studied the style called Doce Pares here in the Philippines. I'm interested in exploring other styles as well. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

    Thank you Paul for always sharing your knowledge with us. One thing I love about your videos is that you teach at a pace that people can actually learn. I have watched other MA videos where you feel like the instructor made it not to teach but to try to prove how great they are.

    These are some good ones. Gonna have to remember an implement them into all of my weapons training. Not sure how small can go with my knives but these can definitely work with my bigger blades for sure. Think this can also work for other similar weapons like hatchets, scythes an tomahawks? An similar like various types of batons?? Ive heard if you can adapt it for 1 or 2 weapon types that are basically similar you can do same for nearly anything. Probably more a dumber question in the range of them but thought would double check too

    • @kalicenter
      @kalicenter  Před 5 měsíci +2

      Yes, these drills can also be applied on knife and all other weaponry. They’re transferable principles. 👍🏼

    Love the drills… how is the placement of the empty hand determined?

    • @kalicenter
      @kalicenter  Před 5 měsíci +2

      Thank you. On the Umbrella it supports the counter at short range. On the attacks it is placed in the relative areas for Espada Y Daga transferability.

  • @SuperZpatrick
    @SuperZpatrick Před 5 měsíci +2

    Could you speak more to the defensive use of your non weapon hand during the drill?

    • @kalicenter
      @kalicenter  Před 5 měsíci +2

      It’s only used on the umbrella if you’re close enough to stop the arm of the opponents strike. Otherwise keep it in.

      @kiliclark5830 Guess, it's fair to say that Paul might be happy, if you'd subscribe. But also - imho - it's totally worth it - he is a great content creator with a sober, no bs approach. Concept of the channel is totally fair. A lot of great work-out drills and breakdowns of partner drills, sinawali etc, just sift through his channel. Jump right in man and decide for yourself 👍

    Sir, I have a question. Can you hold and wield a nunchku and a stick together?
    because I have seen Some martial arts masters carry and wield nunchku and long machetes. Demo show From a video from 15 years ago (The video has since disappeared.)
    Is it possible for you to Demo showing us how nunchku and stick work together?
    Thank you sir

    Can these drills be applied to a larger blade, say a Katana for example? or are the movement flow works best with small blade? If yes, awesome, if not what to change so these movements works with larger blade. thanks.

      @kalicenter  Před 5 měsíci +3
