- Harihar fort also known as Harshagad is a fort located 48 km from Igatpuri, Nashik district, of Maharashtra. It is an important fort in Nashik district, and was constructed to look upon the trade route through Gonda Ghat. It receives many visitors because of its peculiar rock-cut steps.
There are two base villages of the fort, Harshewadi and Nirgudpada. Climbing from harshewadi is easier than the nirgudpada village till we reach a scarp.

Today ( date 11sept 2021) I visited harihar fort.. It was a thrilling experience.. I started trekking from nasik side village.. It was raining heavily and i completed trek with such bad weather.. all around fog was there.. so i couldn't view top to bottom.. but the journey was once in a lifetime
Great 🌻

You found the appropriate terms for me.
Beautiful. The climb down is almost always harder than the climb up. Gravity seems so friendly on the way up and very scary on the way down.
We're used to putting our physical weight forward in daily life. Having to lean back on the descent is a much less familiar task I think. Very unsettling.

Hats up to those who carved steps to reach this mountain.
they are maratha old warriors
Imagine how Maratha warriors did it back in the day. Truly Magnificent
The journey down would freak me out! Yikes...I'm not afraid of heights per say, I'm afraid of falling!
'per say'?
Dear Flower Doyle,
There are Man-made handholds on each step to grip your hands. You can Easily climb Up and get down to the base.

Hello from Tempe Arizona. A remarkable climb. Thank you for adding the short reason for such a construction. For all of us foreigners who have no grasp of your Culture time frame; please add in the description when was the fort built and how long did it take to complete.
Hey Paul,
Please Go thru below Details of Harihar Fort.

That descent looked terrifying... I'd have to stay at the top! 😄

Not for the faint at heart. Absolutely beautiful.
"Pretty safe"? Compared to what, free falling?
compared to going down :-)
Yes, It's Totally Safe..
There are Man-made handholds on each step to grip your hands. You can Easily climb Up and get down to the base.
@@durgnaadTrekkers "totally safe" :D We must have vastly different definitions of the meaning of that phrase :)
@@durgnaadTrekkers this could be considered "safe" only by Indian standards; one small misstep on descent and you're done, there is nothing to hold on to
- still, great video, thank you man! beautiful and scary at the same time
Compared to other Maharashtra forts.for ex.kalavantin durga
Amazing views and incredible place. Thanks for showing this place

amazing ❣️ just watching this video gives a great feel as if we are really present there! thanks for it.
Creator of these steps are the greatest workers in the whole universe.
Not workers' bro they were maratha soldiers 🚩🚩🚩
야 씨발 존나 겁나.
And those who conquered this fort, were even greater than the workers. Khan Zamam conquered this fort in 1636.
@@ShafqatUllahkhan00 The fort again reconquered by marathas then after gone to British.
@@ShafqatUllahkhan00 conquers are not great builders are because conquests show how untalented they are
always comforting to see water trickling over moss as you grab the hand hold........jeez!

দেখে গা শিউরে ওঠার মত,,,, এক কথায় অসাধারণ।
This place is awesome!
While descending i would just turn my back as if am climbing can't just withstand seeing the distance and how scary it looks
That descent looks treacherous! I thought the Mist Trail to Vernal Falls in Yosemite was challenging. I'll never complain about it again.
The only place on earth where you can fall down for 2 hours.
Dear Elijah August,
Almost Millions of people visited this fort till now, may be more than that. not even single accident happened till now.
