Hopefully a class action lawsuit comes and you get your money back. If the system detected a roll over and you didn't roll over I don't see how they can claim the system functioned correctly.
I'd be willing to guess there will be a class action suit for this issue eventually. There is a defect in their system if it is thinking you're about to roll over when you clearly are not about to roll over. With as quickly as airbags can deploy, there's no reason the airbag should be deploying until the vehicle is for sure rolling.
Exactly, they should do what Volvo does where if more than 1 wheel is on the ground, no deployment. but if it’s less than one it deploys them. and if it detects a slight shunt from the front, it predicts that you ran off the road and hit something and basically used it as a ramp and it deploys the fronts aswell.

Thanks for the update. I can't say that I'm surprised that they found a way out of covering it. We watched the video of the deployment, and I said then that they would blame anything other than their own product... and I was right. Gross stuff, but we are talking about GM. This seems to be par for the course. Glad to see you back in the car... although I am surprised you are going to keep it.
I realize that there is nothing at that price point that can currently match the camaro, but dang. Tough call to make, man.

I can understand that. Tough call because truthfully, at that price point, you would be very hard pressed to find anything comparable in performance. Regardless of what you choose, good luck with it.
Dealerships aren't affiliated with GM them self. The mechanics at the dealership aren't GM technitions. They're just Mechanics. That's why GM them selfs sent a real GM technician out to investigate.

Interesting update. Sucks that they have a shitty product. We had to deal with a shitty GM product back in the day (brake failure) and were about to sue them when they agreed to buy the vehicle back. Months later they issued a recall for that exact problem. Corporations have no morals, they just exist to make money.
Has anyone had an Airbag deploy on them. I have always been very curious about how big they are. I also get scared and nervous about them deploying.
