DE Humane has an adoption day once a year where they dress up the dogs, take their photos, and then advertise the adoption day. I think your doggie sweaters would be a welcome gift.😊

First I want to thank you for all of your hat tutorials! I make hats for the homeless here in Tulsa, OK. I've used so many of your tutorials. I just love the way you teach! Second, I rely on yarn donations because I'm in a fixed income and cannot afford yarn. I thought maybe you might know of someone who might donate yarn.
You’re so cute! I’m trying hard to contain myself. I usually work backwards. I buy yarn and think I’ll decide what to make. What really happens, is I see someone make something great and I buy that yarn and make it. Therefore, I have lots of yarn waiting. lol
I get Temu yarn too. I use Google translate to read the labels that are in Chinese. Enjoy your videos . Thank you for them.

Thanks for the yarn review. I watched Bag-O-Day review. Pulled on the yarn and broke. Also, I researched the company. It is a subsidiary of a Chinese company. So most if not all the dollars spent doesn’t stay in USA. Big stores sell yarn made in China, but most of the dollars stay in USA. I won’t buy from them. But that’s just me and don’t judge others that do.
As far as I know, TEMU IS a Chinese company, and I would assume that most if not all of any money spent with them will be staying in that part of the world.
I know the single purchase that I made hung out in various East Asian locations until the right plane came along (really, it was probably waiting on customs clearance... 🙄)
I'll stick to Ice for my international yarn purchases and leave temu to the people who have a tolerance for all that waiting around nonsense.

You are making me rethink Temu. I've been scared to try yarn from there because I haven't been too impressed with the few things I did get from there. I may have to give it a try now.
The colors look nice, but I will stick with purchasing my yarn fro Joann’s and Hobby Lobby. I prefer to see what I am purchasing before hand. Thank you for sharing ❤

I bought some red white n blue striped yarn from temu and absolutely love it. It's chain spun acrylic I think. I will definitely buy more of it.

Temu also has some great knockoff hooks. I got the red crochet hooks - similiar to the Tulip-Etimo red hooks 9 pc set for about $5. They are so much like them that I went and purchased a few sets to put in crochet kits I make up for 'future crochet' friends. They also come in black and blue. GREAT hooks
The labels without text remind me a bit of the "Mixed Fibers" yarns (made in Turkey, I believe) which I picked up at Big Lots several years ago.
I haven't tried their yarn. I bought some hooks. They were too short. I like a 61/2 to 7 inch hook. That yarn does look aqua to me. I like the beanie.

I still haven't tried Temu. I got burned so many times on Wish that I'm hesitant. Not sure if they are similar or completely different, though. Thx for showing us your yarn haul, Juan! 😊👍🧶
I never purchased from Wish, but haven't really heard much good about them.
I have made one purchase from TEMU, and was satisfied with what I bought, price, etc.
However, I probably won't but from then again due to the way they CONSTANTLY bombard you with 'personalized' come-on ads. I mean, DOZENS of times daily!
I finally uninstalled the app and after several months, I still haven't changed my attitude about their marketing practices.
Also, a lot of the yarn has 'mystery' fiber content, so if you have allergies or sensitivities, be aware that China's labelling laws are different from ours in the Western world and protect yourself.

I get Temu yarn all the time. You should get the gradient yarns....they are amazing and super super soft.

That’s why I have hesitated buying yarn from TEMU. I know you can try to figure out an approximate size on the yarn but I would like to not have to do that. I’m not good at guessing! LOL! 💗🧶

Hope you've had good luck with your haul. I didn't have much luck with what I got. Yes, it's super soft but the problem I had making things with it was the yarn splits while being worked. Could just be my crochet technique. I used it for learning my new to me stitches from Crystal, tutorials. Couldn't think of a project I wanted to use them with otherwise.

I have bought yarn from Temu. Haven't had a issue yet.
Wrap the temu yarn around your hand a couple times and pull, it will break, cheap yarn. All it;s good for is a beginner to practice with. But that's just my opinion.
It's been rebanded, just like they put stickers over fake US postage stamps. It's from China people! They sell your information too. Never buying anything from that company. 🚫
Doesn’t happen with all yarn from Temu. I’ve gotten some decent quality acrylic yarn from there
I have bought and used the blues. I can’t read it either. But I found it to be very soft I’m making a scarf with mine. I am using a 4mm hook and works up so nicely.

Hi Juan very much a new subscriber, great podcast, i purchased some Temu yarn a little while ago & i really enjoy it, if im not sure if it is going to suit a project i do a small test like we do with all yarn we are new to. Really love your shawlette/ scarf it is beautiful. Hugs dear. 🫂
I found that most varigateds are thinner than your solids for the most part.

I’ve had great difficulty in determining what the yarn is made from - I need acrylic only because I crochet for charity and other yarns cannot be used. I was not happy with the skeins I did try - I prefer Dollar Tree for their Premier yarn.
I have ordered a lot of crocheting items off of Temu. I have gotten hooks, yarn, bags for storage. I love them!!

What about bandanas for the doggies? or perhaps kennel liners to be a bit softer on their feet and when they lay down? That spring green would go perfectly in your UFO of rainbow squares, since you no longer have access to honeydew. Just some thoughts. Thank you for sharing. See you in the next one.
