Even though I was able to get both sets originally, I've never liked the fact that they were Kickstarter exclusive versions of the game. I've advocated for updating the sets and releasing them again for years. Hopefully, the amount of people that likely bought these as add-ons will cause Unstable Games to reconsider a non Kickstarter release for these.
I'm also disappointed that with this campaign they added something like 63 exclusive cards, including a mechanic that only exists in those exclusive cards. That is literally a full expansion that is exclusive to this campaign and that just feels wrong to me.

What do the scorch and fortify effects do in casting shadows?

From the rule book for the expansion:
"The Molten Rock Expansion introduces 2 Status Effects: Scorch and Fortify. Fortify reduces incoming DMG, and Scorch deals DMG to players on affected Hex tiles."
