    Probability and statistics on Khan Academy: We dare you to go through a day in which you never consider or use probability. Did you check the weather forecast? Busted! Did you decide to go through the drive through lane vs walk in? Busted again! We are constantly creating hypotheses, making predictions, testing, and analyzing. Our lives are full of probabilities! Statistics is related to probability because much of the data we use when determining probable outcomes comes from our understanding of statistics. In these tutorials, we will cover a range of topics, some which include: independent events, dependent probability, combinatorics, hypothesis testing, descriptive statistics, random variables, probability distributions, regression, and inferential statistics. So buckle up and hop on for a wild ride. We bet you're going to be challenged AND love it!

    there is another way of finding the mean
    add all the numbers then divide by how many numbers you've got
    eg: i have to work out the mean of 2, 3, 16 and 21. i add 2 + 3 + 16 + 21= 42. i have got 4 numbers (2, 3, 16, 21) so i divide 42 by 4 to get 10 remainder 2
    like the comment if this worked for u

  • @78anurag
    @78anurag Před 3 lety +2

    We can also calculate median by adding the number of numbers in the data set by 1 and divide the result by 2. So to find the median here the number of numbers here is 8 and 8+1 is 9. Divide 9 by 2 and you get 4.5. 4.5 or 4+0.5 is in between 23 and 25 so we find the difference the two such is 2 and multiply that by 0.5 and add it to 23 so that is 23+1= 24
    If you don't understand, forget it. It's not important.

    As you can see, 67 is repeated as well as 23, what should we do then? I hope that made it clearer. Please explain to me as I have a test soon!
