Man got HAMMERED at the parade and walked right into surgery. Earned my respect forever. Take your time KP
Nobody his size and stature went through their career injury free. Praying for him and hoping Wemby stays healthy
You gotta remember he played in two leagues simultaneously and I always thought that was gonna hurt him or at least start his injury era prematurely
Which why the Spurs should have drafted that 7'4" Dude with their 8th pick. One of the biggest Blunders of any team in YEARS.
Crazy that he tried to come back and play on that leg. Respect the tougjness and doing what needs to be done to win a championship
Celtics gonna be fine. Even if they don’t get first seed they undoubtedly gonna be second or third without him in the East. Celtics are 30-5 when KP was out
Celtics don't need KP to repeat
@@waytogo11they don’t need him as long as Horford continues to play at this level
@@waytogo11 true to a fault. If they played Denver in the finals or the 76ers in the playoffs they’d need him to keep players like embiid and jokic from completely taking over the game
yup
@@pattyfife832they've beat the sixers in years past without kp. They're not worried about sixers
nemesis queta will put the world on notice
You know ball
dude still has to go up another level. I hope he does, because I'd love to see Neemias guarding the paint and dunking the ball after Al retires and KP's contract ends
His only problem is his Basketball IQ. He'll rack up 3 fouls two minutes into the game.
@@tiniestavenger6329That’s Rob Williams’ previous problem before. Hopefully, Queta can get over the hump, too.
xavier tillman goat szn
Here comes the media acting like this is the end of the Celtics season before it starts lol
When I see Perk, it's instant closing.
I'm so happy that the Celtics shove banner 18 in Stephen a face
SAS is the definition of thinking that the loudest in the room = smartest in the room
Complete definition
Kristaps Porzingis is an nba champion now he’s got a lot of time to shine up that ring take your time BIG Fella
Respect tf outta Kristaps for dealing with this through the toughest time of the season
The thing about injury prone players is that you always think the next injury is the last injury but it never is.
It depends on the reason for the injury. Some players change their workout routine like Fred Taylor.
@@michaelschaefer1904KP has size that doesn't make his history like a normal player. He's so tall that it isn't going to get any better and will only get worse
So he will play during key games in playoffs and finals
As long as he's back for the next Finals💯
7 footers rarely get to 30 without serious injury concerns. KP should be okay, and enter the playoffs next year healthy. This is low key a help to the Celtics repeating dreams
Agreed he's in the perfect role and position and Celtics will still be 2 or 3 seed without most of him
😂😂😂 he said KP will enter the playoffs healthy. Poor thing.
@@patrickoakley7890 Mitchell Robinson og, Julius would like to have a word with u
Kristaps is already a Celtics legend and a Warrior with heart playing through game 5 needing surgery. He and will be back!!
A Celtic Legend???!!!! Are you high. He is water boy compared to their Legends.
@@awesomereviews1561 BOSTON LOVES KRISTAPS. WE NEEDED HIM TO WIN GAME 1 & 2.
Yes, Without him we won 2 games but we also got beat in game 4. Without him the Mavericks could've taken the first two.
HE HELPED BOSTON WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP AND THE FANS LOVE HIM FOR IT AND HE ACKNOWLEDGES THE FAN'S LOVE! I WAS AT GAME 1 AND NO CELTIC GOT MORE LOVE COMING OUT THE TUNNEL THAN KRISTAPS!!!
Man's can rest until next April if he wants, get him back & primed just in time for the Repeat 🍀
Ain't no repeat
lol you sure about that most teams are gonna be healthy careful what you're saying 😂
@@divinedeparture5560Boston been in the ECF 5 out of the last 7 years. Why yall keep saying health as if that’s gonna make a difference
@@lorddj9910 ha? spoken by a true casual health really matters dummy can you imagine bulls not winning in 1994 and 1995 cause jordan wasn't there? it all applies whatever you think let's see if y'all can say that if y'all can't repeat i bet your one of those said in 2018 celtics didn't have kyrie and gordon 😂
Through out NBA history 7 footers always get hurt, this is not new.
Take your time Porzingis
Prayers up to my guy. Celtics don’t need him to go back to back tho.
Get well soon my guy!!!!🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
We need a healthy Center so bad 😭 kp is always injured and Al is getting too old. Please Brad do your thing 🙏 (but please please don't trade them)
I think not even Celtics fans are as optimistic as Stephen A here. This is a tough blow man, I just hope Wemby avoids this fate
If they didn't win and he got hurt eoukdvr been way worse but since they won they got some room to breathe
nah we are pretty optimistic. theres no need to go as full force as they did last season the team as is could just coast to a 55 win year
@@markmelillo5699 so then trade him
Celtics fan here I’m very optimistic. Celtics will be fine and this gives the other players more minutes in the regular season a blessing in disguise.
@@teelotus3326 ok but we can’t sweep his injury issues under the rug every year. our competition is not getting any easier
I'm not worried. I hope he takes all the time he needs. The Celtics will be able to develop some of their other big men while Porzingis is out. They'll make the playoffs, and He'll be there for it.
Take your time, KP!
He could literally be out until mid March and I wouldn’t care. He will be ready
Boston needs draft or sign a center to hold the fort and mix minutes with Horford, Kornet. Get Drummond, Jonas V, Javele.
Lmao none of those guys fit in Boston. Why are people so high in Drummond? He’s a washed vet who’s had a fts and is only kinda effective around the rim. The celtics don’t need a rebounder, they’re the best team rebounders in the league.
They probably gon draft a center today after picking up a major 3 pt shooter
@@eliyarrows2456 I'm not high on them either but they just need a center by committee approach and a veteran center who can be an emergency and play 12-15 minutes a night. I mean Horford at this point is more of a 24 minute half a game guy. Kornet is actually decent, but they need another guy. Are they keeping Tilman?
@@jemonecochran7367 Who you think they will pick?
Looney would fit the Celtics.
Legler 6-8? lol he will be healed up up by early November Brad and staff is just taking extra precautions
Bro got the job done and was such a big time player for Boston now go get the surgery recover well for next season 💪
Heal up and get well big guy. We'll see you when you come back 💯
The Celtics will be just fine without KP to start the season. These are the same people that picked the Mavs. The Celtics were 31-6 last year including the playoffs without KP.
As long as Boston has him after All-star break, going into the playoffs, celtics are fine.
Remember porzingas missed 25 games last regular season. The Celtics went 21-4 in those games. That's a 69 win pace. KP will miss about 25-30 games to start this season. They will be fine.
take your time, just come back after all star break if you have to
Naw come back the end of march
It's best to do the surgery now. He'll be ready by next playoffs. What's good about this is Boston can now develop the younger bigs in the meantime. Brad and Mazzula will find a way.
I am not worried. Celtics are fine without him. They can win without him as shown in the postseason and a couple games in the finals.
He hobbled through Game 5 and was still somehow a factor on the court. Smith is right, we don’t care if he misses three or four months of regular season play because this team is so talented they’re going to make the playoffs of the locker room doesn’t turn on itself.
As long as KP is at 100% and has kicked the rust off by next May everyone here in Boston is good.
The thing is resting that long then coming around the playoffs when the intensity is high might cause another injury
If along for the ride was a person it would be Kristaps Porzingis lol
Someone didn’t watch the finals
Someone didn’t watch any basketball this year. Literally unlocked their offense and was one of the best shot blockers in the league.
Did you watch games 3 and 4 where KP didn’t play? Celtics barely won game 3 because luka decided to foul out, and then they got blown out in game 4.
@@shiningwizard202 someone didn’t watch how the Celtics walked to those very same finals without him
@@eliyarrows2456 😂😂😂 this series was never in doubt with or without Porzingis
Watch some basketball casual
Speedy recovery
I would be lying if I say I wasn’t expecting that KP will be missing playing time next season
Kornet is ready to hold the fort until KP is back ☘️
Man he is like the Derrick Rose of the big men in the NBA. Great talent, but the injuries haunt him every season. Get well and recover quick and strong champ. We will see you in the Playoffs 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
They still have JT, JB, Jrue, White, Al, Hausser, PP and Tillman
They still the Starpower and Depth
That sucks. As a lakers fan, thats devastating and also injuries are never good.
The Celtics are gonna try to keep Horford for another year. They cant lose 2 bigs going into next season
Horford already said he's coming back. If we keep some combo of Queta, Kornet, Tillman and Brissett on the team, that'll be enough to get through to the All Star break.
A blessing in disguise honestly, he’ll be fresh for the playoffs into the finals next year if we repeat
PorzinGlass gonna have to retire early like Yao ming!
Hopefully KP has a speedy recovery!!
Hats off for still playing, although limited
I Hope he can return soon and healthy .
He will !!
I'm so sad for KP. Love him.
The Celtics were 30-5 without KP last year including the playoffs.
something tells me the celtics will be fine and he will come back seamlessly
Celtics will be fine. Just need him to play the next NBA final
Boston is the only team that has enough talent to overcome this
If Kristaps Porzingis stay healthy next season & consistent 2025 playoffs Boston big chance get #19 banner next season 💯 no doubts 💪🔥💪
Great player trust me kills me to say this he is not gonna be on court to long hope I’m wrong.
He’ll be fine. These people at ESPN are so dramatic 🥴
Next man up
Prk seems mad S&A saying facts.
Can Stephen A. talk normally without yelling all the time? 😅
Should be ready to rock after the All-Star break
The Celtics will be good it will be nice to have him back for the 2nd half of the season and the playoffs.
I’m not the slightest concern. We got Luke Skywalker Kornet. Now if Luke is hurt, bro we in trouble.
Time for Xavier to have big minutes if he re-signs.
Played hurt and helped his team win. Better than those load management big 3s.
It was expected. We are happy he helped us win a chip this year! All we want is for him to be ready playoff time!
We don’t need to see KP until after all star break lol, as a Celtics fan, we were 26-5 without KP this year, we’ll be perfectly fine lol. We had a 14 game lead in the East last year, with KP missing games. Celtics still clear favorite in the NBA
Why does he always injure his feet? Looking at him, I would've been more worried for his head. "Porzingis to miss 3 months after hitting his head driving under a bridge."
Just rest until the postseason big dog!! ☘️🏆☘️
If I were the Celtics, I would take a shot at Jonas Valanciunas on a 2yr deal. He's durable, can hit the occasional 3pt shot, can get his shot from inside the 3pt line, and can score in the paint. He rebounds well and can challenge at the rim.
JV at C with KP as a roamer seems like a killer lineup to deal with line-drivers or bigger teams, but Boston will have to compensate on perimeter defense. JV is not bad-bad, but he is not Al or KP when guarding in space.
For once I agree with SAS on this one - we are good!
They’ll be fine. They played without him for 20 games & all but 4 gms in the playoffs
Crazy thing is that the Celtics are still the best team in the NBA without KP, but its still unfortunate obviously. They should get a shooting big though, as Al ain't getting younger after all.
Celtics is fine without KP as this post season proved it
Figured. I'm not sure why people said that he would be back by the time the next season starts. A simple google search would tell you how long the healing period for his ailment was.
Wonder how Stephen A is taken seriously as a tv analyst with his ramblings
Hey, the way I see it is he’ll be fresh and uninjured by the time the playoffs roll around. If he was playing the first half of the year I would be MORE worried
I wonder what his next injury will be once he comes back 🤔
oh and one more thing i remember Stephen A said: Porzingis will never win a ring
Celtics have 2 healthy top 10 players and 2 top 10 defenders they will be absolutely fine probably will be top 3 seed without them.
He's more of a liability than an asset I hope he comes back very soon.
❤
Why does Smith yell all the time?
I’m glad they included “start of the season” in the title. I would’ve been wondering how he’d miss 5-6 months and not miss the start of the season. 😒
Its Bol Bol time.. Drummond too
They barely had KP this season so we good 😂☘️ but we better with him no doubt
The Celtics will finish 1st even if Porzingis comes back only after the all star break. The important thing is for him to be healthy in may-june.
That’s actually good lmao so he be ready for the playoffs
Unfortunately he's going to be injured all next year and his entire time in Boston. That's what his career has been and will be at his size. Boston got a ring from it but they won't be able to ever count on him
Tingus Pingus an NBA champ
This is no big deal at all considering he barely played 60 games. Having him back after christmas is perfectly fine. we arent gonna lose the playoffs in october and november
I don't know B. His injury was so crazy they had to come up with a new name for it.
The question gonna be can he cameback stronger and play like finals game 1 or sth like that
Legler’s agenda getting clearer every day
I think KP will come back raring to go. Congrats to him for getting a ring.
P.S. I cant call him a Son of Sir Wardell becoz he wasn't part of the 2022 lineup. Shout-out to JT, JB, AH and DW.
Celtics about to only play him on important playoff games again
He barely played and still couldn't stay healthy. Just a tad bit more reliable than kawhi
he played 57 games last year and 65 in 2023. would have played more this past season but mazzulla would stagger kp and horford on back to back games
