    Hello sir .
IMO PERFORMANCE STANDARD - two small targets on same bearing , separated by 40 metres in range, should be separately indicated when using a range scale of 1.5 NM or less when they lie between 50% and 100% of the range scale in use.
This sentence is little bit confusing for me , so
do we have range discrimination for more than 1.5 range scale or not ? What about two vessels 50 metres apart , range 5 miles on a 6 M range scale ?
    Please help ?

Lokesh, the performance standards say that you have to MEASURE the range and bearing discrimination when it is calm conditions; you have to choose a range scale of 1.5 nm or less; and the targets should be atleast at a distance of 50-100% of the range scale (i.e. half of 1.5 nm to 1.5 nm). This standard is for measuring.
