    My parents and grandparents waved off the possibility that I had ADHD because they thought it was just a way for the schools to sedate kids. I wish they had found out more because I didn't need meds, I needed help learning how to get things done with how my brain worked! Finding out as an adult that I have ADHD has been very enlightening and trying to teach my children who have it how to make it work for them and not to use it as an excuse has been an interesting challenge. So many things started to make sense, like Sal said, when I allowed myself to research it and learn.

    There is definitely a balancing act with not comparing to others while recognizing body parts that objectively need prioritization. This has been part of my decades long journey and continues into my 50s.

    It took me forever to stop comparing and just focusing on my health and strength. It took my health going downhill and having to start all over again to learn this lesson

      Proud of you! And it's really hard for people to accept you'll never find true happiness in your own looks.
      Especially women. Women value their looks so much more than men do. Beauty in women is like how a man finds confidence in himself being masculine.
      Also, women don't realize that if you look decent, like better than average, most men who love you will think you're the hottest woman on the planet

    100% in general comparison is a hard pill to swallow. I find this way too often. It’s okay to look at others and strive to be better, but never compare. This just brings you down mental catastrophe.
    Look at others for inspiration/knowledge and compare yourself to the you that you were yesterday 🖤💪🔥

    Totally agree with the advantage that having less privilege gives. Like what Adam said, I would never go and deep dive with fitness if I always had the body that I wanted. Even in life right now, still struggling to get by am always thankful.

    I can't remember which episode you guys told me that I can split my leg workout for 3 days a week (Squat day, Hip thrust day, and Deadlift day) and focus on getting stronger. I’m a big fan of leg days so couldn't help but jump in this.
    It was around 5 months ago that I changed the way I train (from 12-15 reps/ set to 3-5 reps/set). Now my one rep max for the squat is 100 kg (it was 85) and 105 kg for the deadlift (it was 90) also a noticeable gain!

    Def hit home for me. I'm going thru a body recomposition and some days I'm in a decent calorie deficit so the weight I'm putting up in the gym is low compared to others but then again I am near 40 and only been in gym for less than year.

    Adhd tip.... put your shoes on first thing in the morning. You'll get so much more done than if you're without em! It works EVERY TIME for me!

    Good show fellas. I find myself comparing strength to others in the gym but feel better when they ask my age thinking I’m 5-8 years than I am. This is motivation to keep working without injuring myself.
    Will you guys ever put out a podcast on the Sub-Q supplements Sal was using for healing?

    Literally thinking to myself early why my youngest has always tried to be sneaky and hide evidence of when he does things he’s not supposed to. Makes sense that I am pretty strict…. At least he’s not good at being sneaky for now lol. Jk trying to build up more of an open dialogue relationship like I have with my oldest.

    You can have the bedbugs cover to protect the mattress I’ve got those and they work great even for when you spill water in your bed or sweat during night and so you don’t damage the mattress

    My calves are jacked, they look like bodybuilder calves. What you have to realize is I spent over 20 years of my life at over 300 lbs while still being active and working physical jobs. My calves are huge just from carrying so much extra weight for so long. A lot of people who spend long periods of time overweight get jacked calves like this.

    My calves has grown i do standing and seated calves raises went from 14inchs to 14.5inches in 3 months ..for me its the frequency i train it first or last doing leg day....3 times a week sets progressive Overload ...30 sec rest and 3 sec eccentric 2 sec squeeze

    I’m so glad Sal brought up the studies on marijuana because I couldn’t really find them and I’ve been telling people about them. Also, from my research, one of the reasons cannabis was illegal, was simply because the government didn’t have a way to tax it because it was so easily grown in someone’s backyard or some empty field, and so the government just demonized it because it was money that they were not able to tax

    Great show I just started listening to it a couple months ago. I had a question Sal. I’ve used BPC157 in the past for a torn rotator cuff along with stem cells and it worked great. I do 16 iu twice a day when using it. What’s the protocol and dosage for TB 500? I appreciate you guys.

    I've always had nice calves. I've also spent prly 20 of my 38 yrs of life being 20-60 lbs overweight. Everytime I slim down my calves look awesome and disproportionate to my body size and I always get guys in the gym asking me how I got my calves so big. I just tell them to wear a 40lb weighted vest for 20 yrs. Lol

    The typical comment I get is “I wish I had the time you do to workout” me: EXCUSE ME? I mean I know I am Gods favorite child but I have the same damn 24hrs of the day … I make workout my priority so I get up at 3am to fit my workouts into my day 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Someone tell me how big Stan Efferding's calves lol the fiber type ratio of the calves can't really be built, less likely through bodybuilding (compared to Strongman)

    Nah… in the Army we have the new physical fitness test.
    Sprint Drag Carry-- while waiting our turn we girls, ahem; females were gawking at the new calves on some of our company males.
    “Damn!” We all eyebrow:eyebrowed.
    I had to point out. “You know I think we just harassed these guys. Based on their calves. But they do look real good.”
    We notice those calves. Just like the forearms.
