Everything you see i have purchased myself, this gives me complete control to voice my honest opinion about any product
Just day to day sparky videos
If you like it, that’s cool, if you don’t, that’s cool as well.
Remember, context is important, I can’t show/film every part of every test otherwise I’d still be there now😂just assume I’ve carried it out correctly
Doing it the Correct way is so much easier in my Opinion.
100% agree
Great job buddy, it's much easier connecting a Cooker with flexible.
You got that right!
Neat job!!
👍🏻
Looking good there kid😊
👍🏻👍🏻
Nice work but I m not sure with shnieder product cooker unit connection .
Looks and feels solid to me, I like the 2 parts so it can be screwed back and you’re not dealing with both cables at termination
Any reason why?
Ho7 cable is so much better. But what tool do you use though to strip it? Trying to find a decent one. Thanks in advance 😊
Ergostrip by Knipex
@@bristolsparky awesome thanks 🙏🏻
Did you use 6mm or 10mm H07 ? Am I right in thinking the 6mm will take 44amps ?
The colour of the ring crimps should give you an answer.
48A
6mm
Love the content! Just out of curiosity, how much did you charge for this including the H07 cable. Hope you don’t mind answering. 👍🏽
Ask your local wholesaler how much it is per metre, it’s only a couple of quid
Hi Lawrence: Where do you get 6mm HO7 for a couple of quid a metre ?, down here it's £6 - 7 a metre.
@@rscelectrical7091 TLC & online wholesalers do the best price. My local CEF & TED are both competitive, not as competitive as online wholesalers though
Hi buddy: TLC list it at £6.00 + vat a metre. Yeah going to have to start buying it online, TLC down here don't even give discount for trade anymore, a lot of stuff is much cheaper in Screwfix or Toolstation nowadays.
@@rscelectrical7091 try SuperLec or your local CEF instead
Ah but you can't beat mk Lawrence 👍😎
No thanks
Heat Resistant is the way forward for sure
HO7 isn’t heat resistant though, its usually a flex to HO5 thats fitted by manufacturers of ovens, thats if they ever supply the flex in the first place.
Temps behind ovens dont get anywhere near as high as you would think though
@@SME_Ste Very good point well made but you just know some clever dick will make it a rule in the future
👍🏻
H07 all the way1
Everytime, been banging on about it for years on my instagram page
Them crimps not rated for them amps
Smells like fire
Yellow crimps = 6mm = 32amps
Completely disagree
Good quality Yellow crimps (not eBay Chinese cheapies) are rated up to 48a.
Been using them for cooker connection for as long as I can remember and never had a problem. Obviously use a good quality crimp tool as well.
I use twin and skin never had a problem every cooker i pull out is on it and im sure many other sparks use it.... however you have not installed every cooker or hob make so how do you kno what they all specify? Its all down to what you prefer to use i understand you always follow manufactures instructions.....its not like your running twin and skin outside ...fed up of youtube sparks talking balls trying to get a sponsor deal 😂
I’ve done this since day one, I was taught to use a suitable cable. Twin and cpc isn’t appropriate or recommended. I didnt say it wouldn’t work, 60% of homes probably have been wired like it. Of course I’ve not installed every model of hob/oven however there is a more suitable cable recommended by most manufacturers & it makes sense due to the heat resistivity & CCC of flexible cable. I assure you I’m not talking “balls” and I’m a very small fish mate, much prefer my freedom to say what I want about about any brand with no affiliation.
@@bristolsparky @bristolsparky very diplomatic reply 😂 fair enough tbf using H07 flex would actually make the install easier and with the heat etc i was abit harsh i apolgise 😂
@@aarongayle6326 Respect! 👍
@@Dog-whisperer7494 they categorically don’t recommend twin&cpc
