Dang... I actually really like this? First off, whenever we have a "giant spider monster," they're _always_ just mindless creatures trying to eat humans, so this was a GREAT way to be different.
I'm not sure if it was you or the person who requested this, but _someone's_ clearly done a lot of research on the parts of a spider! I'm also a fan of giant spiders, but I didn't realize there was actually a good explanation for them being a _nonfatal_ **V** predator! Since they normally have to inject their prey with digestive enzymes, and then eat the liquified enzymes, it would make sense that a spider's digestive tract wouldn't be built for digesting whole food. It's weird, but I love it in **V** there's a _scientific reason_ that you wouldn't get lethally digested.
Honestly, I'm not sure if a spider as HUGE as her would even _have_ a web? I think at some point she would be so heavy that a web wouldn't support her weight. Some species of spiders don't really spin webs either, like tarantulas, and tend to wander about, so if there was ever a species of spider that grew giant, it would probably be one of those?
The only thing I sort disliked about this story was the tone, where she's trying to _scare_ the listener and teach them a lesson. Personally I would have much preferred a _nurturing_ giant spider, and a listener who was terrified of her but had nowhere else to go. Perhaps she could have taken them into her body to carry them around, protecting their vulnerable human body from the smaller monsters in the cave with her huge exoskeleton. If they're not being digested either, then perhaps they could "share" some of the food she takes into her body, before it gets absorbed.
I know this is super weird, but I love symbiotic relationships and the idea of _living inside_ another creature, so this roleplay really got me thinking about that again!

Yes the person who sent me this request made reasearch on spiders' anatomy plus they explicitly wanted the spider to trying to scare the listener only to tell them in the end that they are not going to digest them.
Something I feel interesting enough to respond to your comment on the lack of sentient giant spiders, is to note that Shelob from the lord of the rings is actually sentient, but endlessly humgry and her intelligence is a more inhuman amd eldritch kind. Something greater than the spiders seen in the hobbit, though they're also sentient and even talk. It is quite true though that none of them are very friendly, beimg that they are basically of demonic origin

@@Myuutsuu85 still would have preferred another giant female creature like a dragoness or a huge sea creature like the red bluster. Spiders are just nightmare fuel abominations, well except for those cute little jumping spiders, especially the peacock jumping spider.
