    This really good video. thank you for sharing. I'm from Bali, Indonesia. From what I see today tourists who come to Bali, most of them seems like no longer interest to experience or observe authentic Balinese culture, art or nature anymore. Now I witness myself that most of the tourists who come here are those; Who want to survive longer (with the money they has), Who want to "Living Best Live" cheaply (Because they can't live the life style in their country). By that mean.. those tourist live here as hedons as they can. Party everynight, sleeping around every night, pretending like they are rich (But actually not), building "New Fake Identity" (Lying) so they get respected by society (Tourists and locals), and many things that they know that they can't afford it all in their own country. But mostly what I mean by "Living their best life" is... sleeping around as much as they can. Both men and women do the same thing... unfortunately. Thank you.

    Yes Absolutely Right. Socio Cultural Impacts are good and some times negetive. When we talk about then tangible resources of culture those are very motivating for tourists to experience the local culture and make a memorable trip. And Locals have the responsibility to make a low impact on those places especially when the protected species are there. Your video and this lecture was very Helpful for me. Thank you soo much for that.❤

    Hi , Dr Hayley Stainton...
    This is Saad Rashid khan an industrial engineering final year UG student ...from Pakistan.
    Hope you are good 😊
    I am very thankful to you for making such an informative videos based on sustainable tourism industry...
    My final year project is " Development a sustainable tourism industry in Pakistan"
    I am very glad to have you by my side helping not only students but also researcher's to identify root cause of problems related to industry which alternatively impacts positive on society and inhance productivity of the industry world wide...
    I wolud love to take guidence from you as I have mentioned above my project title...
    Basically Pakistan has alot of potential in its tourism industry we have beautiful historical, archeological , natural sites however we are lagging in many areas like infra-structure , maintenance of the sites , international promotion of tourism for the country.....more over we have religious sites which are even most prestigious for billions of people world wide ....we can integrate these communities and it will be huge cultural diversity....however millions of people don't know about these places ....even our neighbouring countries don't know....
    Therefore tourism promotion on international platform is also the huge part of our research....
    Kindly recommend books or share if you have in soft form related to sustainable tourism industry ( promotion of tourism industry world wide)
    Thanks ❤️

    I disagree with the idea that Jamaican use tourism as a means of stealing, If you being fair, multiple countries people tend to steal. In that, I do not think it is right to mention only one country. As if people think that of Jamaica, why still travel to the beautiful country.

    Hi Hayley!
    Thank you for this great informative content. What advice would you give to someone as myself who recently gained a Masters in international tourism planning and wants to gain industry employment and experience considering the global pandemic? I was made redundant from my cruise operations role last year October and can’t get any employment since and I really have a strong passion for tourism.
    Thank you!

    • @TourismTeacher
      @TourismTeacher  Před 3 lety

      I would suggest that if you can’t find employment in tourism that you find employment in an alternative industry where you can gain transferable skills! Travel will be back- we just need to be patient!
