- We have been receiving quiet a few requests to slow it down a bit and show the inner workings of the equipment. Well, the requests have been granted! We ride alongside Carl who is baling hay, Sam who is bundling bales with the Arcusin Multipack, and Mike who is using an Arcusin Fourstak to transport bundles. #Insider #Hay #Equipment
I love watching Carl in your videos he is such a character
I try to get him as much as I can!
Carl is probably the kind of guy that has the funniest one liners, more knowledge that most, and as kind as a teddy bear :)
You are exactly right. That is who he is! A great, genuine, smart guy that loves farming and equipment
The equipment that is required to do hay is incredible. Sam and Mike did a great job of explaining their operations.
I thought they did great. Mike goes in even more detail in part 2 coming out soon
Such great lessons for young people. When I tell my grandsons what I had to do on the farm 55+ years ago on the farm and they look at me like I’m crazy.
Wow, this should be required watching for anyone who owns a horse. There are some very hard working and cool people who make feeding our horses possible. Thank you so much!!
It’s fun to see a 2021 square-baler in action. The mechanics in the ‘knotter’ looks (and sounds) exactly like the ones we used in the 70’ and 80’. Never change a winning horse/game😜👨🏼🌾🚜
They seem to work pretty well!
Great video, Carl thanks for the interview.
Awesome video I love seeing all the different aspects of your operation, Thanks for the entertainment and education :)
Thank you! We appreciate the support
Awesome video
Love the video! Great job!
Thank you Mark!
Great video! Baling is so satisfying.
It really is! When it’s working well
That's a knowledgeable crew!
They know what's up
Looks like you have a great crew working for you there
An amazing crew
I like the symmetry of two strings.
I love it too
If there is one thing I know how it is build and how it works it has to be square baler since we have one like 30 year old baler since we Only need bales to feed our own animals But is still Nice to see how those stackers work since it is literally the First Time seeing them
sounds good to me
Thanks Norm!
Cant wait for corn silage videos. Who is going to run chopper?
More coming!
Может и я когда-нибудь так буду работать
I know nothing-I see nothing... was Sergeant Schultz;)
Now we know! I’ll have to let Carl know he took Colonel Klink’s name in vain lol
@@FarmingInsider Naw, Klink was basically clueless also.
Diet Coke is my go-to drink. I'm way too addicted to it😂
You can’t beat it! Except diet Mountain Dew
@@FarmingInsider Dew is good, but it goes right through me!
I enjoy your operation . How far is that field from your home base
Thank you! It is about 10 minutes away (in a normal vehicle) maybe 7ish miles
@@FarmingInsider I ran a N.H stack cruiser back in the 90s we had some 45 minute round trips kinda seems like your way could be faster .
What is the advantages of the center feed baler Have you ever tried tedding at a angle to fluff it a little better
With center feeds we don’t seem to get uneven “banana” bales ever and the flow of material staying in one direction I think helps maintain leaves on the hay. Less thrashing about
What do you think about the arcusin d14? Thinking about getting one. is it better than the bale baron
They work really well for our operation and our customers
@@FarmingInsider thanks for the info
Do you use the granular preservative on your square balers
We do. Sila prime
@@FarmingInsider how do you apply the preservative? I also have a 1840 🙂 looking for ways to improve 😁 love the videos 👍
Schultz was the one who always said I know nothing.
You’re right! He has been informed
Sargent Schultz
You're right!
What twine are you using
plastic and maybe like 130 lb knot strength for the small squares? The bundlers run 450 knot strength. The name of the brand is slipping my mind right now
How many acres of hay do you guys farm? You guys only make squares?
Carl means Sergeant Schultz not Colonel clink
He knows now!
Сколько стоит данный сборщик тюков arcusin
Where are you in Northern Ohio. ??
Medina and Lorain county
Hello,
I might be missing something important here !
Why would anyone cut grass and then bundle it for horses ? Arn't horses obsolete ?
I'm a retired Detroit Diesel GM Corp guy living in Florida

Haha Horses are making a huge comeback! Amish were just at our place today

There are literally 400,000 horses in your home state--what do you think they all eat?? And that's only the 3rd largest horse population of any state.
@@FarmingInsider Hello Mr.Jeff Miller,
Of course, I didn't see any horses on your farm.
Our local Amish community of Pinecraft, Florida has no horses .
surprisedthat
Thanks for writing back and explaining, I'm a lifelong Cityboy.

ps. how many bales can one horse eat in a day?
It’s 11:45 at night, I’m tired as all get out, just got done putting up hay and what do I do? Of course watch other people do hay.
