mylar is double sided reflective but you can make it single sided reflective by using a soft cloth and brasso or toothpaste and gently rubbibng away at it let us know how ya get on graham
I think you may have missed my point. The problem is that the people in cars are getting glare from the sun and may not see me when driving in a west direction.

tinny why not line the inside of your velo windscreen with mylar ?
