Don't know if many know this but the reason there's a demand in Sri Lankan Cinnamon is because it has a sweet aftertaste unlike other Cinnamon with a bitter after taste😌 hope you learned something new hehe

Actually only Sri Lanka have the Cinnamon, other countries have Cassia, That plant and process and taste all different. That's why we call sri lankan cinnamon as Ceylon cinnamon to differentiate from other cinnamon products.

Hello from srilanka ! Another rarely known fact is that the August festival of temple of tooth relic also brings rain in that period of time for the farmers who try to harvest their crops. Once the festival started it starts raining in sri lanka no matter what the condition of other countries is. Thats one of the reason why People here believe so much in budda and his teachings. :)

1. Srilanka has the highest Leopard desity in the world. This is in "Yala" national park.
2. "Katharagama" - popular among Buddhists and Hindus. This also has a place if worship for Christians, Buddhists, Hindus and Muslims. Haven't seen something like this anywhere.

Ceylon was came from Arabic language. That means something streaming.. Arabians named as Ceylon because in Sri Lanka, there are lots of Rivers and waterfalls.. always water is streaming all-over the country. So they called Ceylon.
