take into consideration how cissy grew up , I believe I read somewhere that her parents were incredibly strict . . and then she lost her mother a a young age. that would harden anyone. I also belive she was very very very hard on whitney growing up, a very cold but loving mother.

Cissy is so overbearing and pissed because Whitney was so much better as a singer than she could every hope to be. This likely contributed to the poor decisions her children made.

Tihg Ger Why is that someone always make a comment about 'someone isn't as good as this person or they'll never be this person.' Cissy is Cissy and Whitney is Whitney. Cissy is a very loving supportive mother. And Cissy was bad ass singer in her day! And Cissy taught Whitney how to sing.

That’s a lie! Whitney thought the world of her mother and credited Cissy for teaching how to sing, about business, how to stand up for herself and most importantly the importance of having a relationship with God. Cissy was extremely proud, and overjoyed about her success. She celebrated her daughter’s gifts and talents. If it wasn’t for Cissy’s strength and determination, Whitney would have been gone much sooner than 2012. Cissy did everything she could to help and protect Whitney, which is why when she was asked by Oprah who she loved Whitney first said God, her Mother and then Krissy. Cissy meant the world to Nippy and vice versa and it showed.
