I financed two car loans through NFCU. I would never consider getting a car loan with anyone else.
I just got denied an auto loan. I have 2 credit cards with NFCU, a Platinum with a 9K cli and a cash rewards with a 5K cli. Both have a zero balance and perfect history. I have a 790 TU Fico 9 score. My income is 92,000 and my credit report is pristine. I have multiple credit cards and all have a zero balance. I have no idea why I was denied a loan. I don't really need one but should I call and ask the reason? Will they tell me? Thanks. Your video is excellent.

Credit score was 620 when I requested 40K got approved right away... Don't put the vehicle you have in mind on the application right away. Just pick up your check and take it to the dealership you want. I do have a relationship with NFCU for a year: Checking, Savings, CC, and CD ... ((Update!)) Applied for another loan with trade in vehicle that was financed with NF. They approved me for 65K in less than 6months... I did pay before the due date every month as well... Continue to build a relationship with NF and never pay late...

Was wondering, if I go for an auto loan but get the check in my name. Say the check is like 30 to 50 k and I used that check to purchase 2 or 3 cars depending on the cost of the cars each. Couldn't I just send them all 3 titles after cashing and using that check? Purchasing these cars to use on Turo as well as doing delivery services like Door Dash etc?

I have NFCU for awhile now...My house 135K, Car for 65k and I have a credit card work about 10k. car and house I have had with them for awhile...my next loan will be around 110K for a new C8 zo6. fingers crossed when I do apply for it, I just want to pay down my car a bit more and house.

In reality all debt you obtain is paid off already. banks can't lend you their own money. The contract you sign with your ssn on it turns into a monetized security. Look into it, you'll be surprised.
On another note look into 1099a/1099c to pay it off and have it showing on your consumer report as so.

You can also become a member of Navy federal if you have a deceased love one who served in the military as well.

I got a $60k loan, I wanted to buy a used Tesla to replacemy old one, but I changed my mind. The check was good for 90 days. It's good to have money in your account with them. They see stability for repayment.

So, After watching your video I think I messed up… I applied to NFCU for a $20k loan not even thinking they would preapprove it. I have a mid size suv that I still owe $16,885 and it’s financed thru another third party entity. I guess I can’t change the amount now since it’s a pre-approval right? NFCU also asked about my vehicle I have now & how much I pay monthly. I really don’t want to go back to the same dealership to trade it in because of how they did me initially so what do I do?
I’m trying not to use my debit cards anymore…because you pointed out they’ve useless. I wanted to ask…this question , I pay my credit cards off each month…do you think it’s better to do this? Great to have you here. I personally thinks its best to pay off credit cards in full by the statement closing date. As for the cards, I would keep the credit cards open as long as possible to help build credit, unless it has fees. The debit card i would just keep, incase you need money from an ATM. I just keep them stash away and not carry it with me unless its needed.

Is it true that eventually the 3 credit reporting agency will go away….I hope so….because they’ve so confusing with scores, I thought 850, is highest score….When I purchased my last car….they came back and said they hadn’t seen 870, before…..Have you? You want to consider that in your loan amount as well. So account 3-5k extra for the GAP insurance when you request your amount.

Hey Devil, as a PFC I don't recommend it, but the end of the day, it's your money. Depending on your relationship with NFCU, if you are still new, I think your odds are low

I think you would have good odds, depending on your current relationship with them and DTI for other loans or credit cards.

My truck I have now was 60k with chase I'm trading that in with about 15k equity on it . Price is 135k for z06 minus 15k leaving me at 120 bc I'm paying the difference of sales tax etc

You can. Just don't use it for 90 days, once the time passes it converts into a personal loan. So technically your not but are writing it to yourself.

If you get a preapproval auto loan check from NFCU you have 90 days to use it on a car. If not the auto loan check converts to a personal loan check and is able to be deposited into your own account. Thus, "writing the check to yourself".

That still on the lower side. But since an auto loan is a secured loan you can probably still get one, just with a higher interest rate

My credit score is 765 and I was thinking in 2 years from now buying a truck. I wanna save up 20 grand to put down on it and let the auto loan cover the rest. I am hoping that Navy fed would help me out cause in total the truck I want is like 38 grand

Invest that 20 grand. Just get the loan amount through navy fed that you can afford. Use that 20 grand into something that can net passive income instead of a depreciating asset. Hell, you can buy a running business with that 20k as the down payment or a property to rent. Do your research.

Never put that much down on a car. You could leave the lot and something unforeseen could happen to the car. Then you’ve wasted 20k!!! Not a smart money love

Because when you apply for an auto loan you agree to its terms and conditions that you will use towards a car
