- Village life in Pakistan daily routine work in 2020. Pakistan is an agricultural country with more than 212 million population. 63% of the population lives in the rural area of Pakistan. Agriculture is considered the backbone of Pakistan's economy, which relies heavily on its major crops. Pakistan's principal natural resources are arable land and water. Agriculture accounts for about 18.9% of Pakistan's GDP and employs about 42.3% of the labor force. The hidden unemployment rate is high in this sector. I live in a village in Jhelum District in north Punjab. Pakistan canal irrigation system is one of the largest irrigation systems which supports agriculture. In this video, I am sharing my daily life routine work in a Pakistani village. How easy to get pure milk for tea. how to shift fodder from field to farm with my Black donkey. how to chop grass with a chopping fodder machine, and how to milk a buffalo. in my area mostly small farmer land is less than one acre. they use for fodder instead of cereal crops. we use the dung for land fertility. corn rice and wheat are cash crops. in livestock, mostly cows, buffalo, goats, and sheep are breeding. The roads are good from field to market. Farmer also uses the road for drying their corn ear. Maize production is profitable, I shift my fodder from field to farm by my black donkey. It is not easy to handle donkeys, its saddle dressage is not similar to horse dressage. But it is a showcase of the donkey's unique traits and abilities. A slow plodding walk is the most comfortable gate for a donkey. I use a small sickle to cut grass and cereal crops. It takes enough time but I completed my task in 10 Minutes. The next step of my daily routine is chopping the fodder. Electric fodder cutting machine is a good facility, But the electricity load-shedding problem is to use to say good words about Govt. But I have continued my work with hand cutter to complete my task. After 10 AM temperature is high about 40 degrees celsius. now time to rest and drink pure milk. The groundwater level is not as low as in Indian Punjab. It is 30 feet to 40 feet. The hand pump is working properly. After 5 PM I'm milking the Buffalo, in this procedure very difficult to handle calf. especially over 4 months old. A calf can drag you. The price of pure milk in my village is about two liters for one USD. Pakistani Buffalos have the potential of giving over 5000 liters milk per lactation through efficient breeding, feeding, and health care programs. No doubt average milk yield per lactation is 2430 liters. But such animal Neeli Ravi breeds are also available, producing 3000 liters to 5000 liters per lactation. Daily milk average is from 8 liters to 40 liters depends on Buffalo breed. episode 178

This is I am talking about with my Pakistani Colleague here in KSA. A beautiful peaceful life was not in the city but rather in the Village. Were both born in different countries but we have same feeling and common experience as a Village Boy during Childhood. I am proud of it as he's feeling are the same as mine. In a few years come he will return to Punjab Pakistan and I will go back to my Country Philippines. We will treasure our friendship up to the end of our Journey in this world. I think the villages are more polluted then cities due to pesticides & fertilizer use; though the pollution is not visible to the naked eye: one good thing is that they have a lot more space.

I can say, Indian farmers are brain washed to go for GM crops and I guess Pakistan is successful so far not allowing the GM crops. But when it comes to modernization, yield per hectare, I don't compare but I guess Indian farmers are far ahead.

@Mk Mukarum Yes, I know. In India farmers death rate is high in the world. The GM Cotton killed more farmers. The rampant pesticide use in the form of green revolution killed the pristine land. The fake seeds and terminator seeds leaving the farmers debt ridden . The list is endless but I do not know if the situation in Pakistan is any better.

I was thinking about how we farm here in the USA. Corn for instance, a farmer can get on his big John Deere combine and cut 300 or more acres in one day. That includes the machine shelling the corn and blowing it into a semi trailer. Any machine that doesn't process the entire ear is probably a 100 years old and is either in a museum or used by the Amish. Most farmers don't mess with animals in farming anymore. Even milking cows is done by machine. A dairy farmer can milk over a 100 head of cows at one time in a few minutes.

The culture is so different, it's hard for me to comprehend. I have a friend that was born and raised in Pakistan. She now lives in the USA. She told me that the Pakistani government doesn't tax the people. So, therefore there is no infrastructure in Pakistan. She said that she moved here for more opportunities. She is now a physician in a major US city.
